Firstly, I thought children under 18 were off limits, other than to say something nice because they are children.

A child is "up on the thing"?

I mean, what on earth kind of insinuation is that? This is a child and that's her grandpa ..

And what on earth does she mean humanize him? Donald Trump's a human being with a family and is loved like anyone else.

Literally going onto national media in front of millions of people and tell them Donald Trump's not a human being and shouldn't be seen as one is the height of evil and the type of words and thoughts that gets 20 year olds thinking it's morally right to go kill innocent people.

It's a travesty that whoever owns and broadcasts that show is still in business.

I think the family of the deceased should honestly sue these media companies, someone should. They sit around all day doing nothing but incite riots and inspire murderers... It should have repercussions.

She meant "the stage." Or "the platform.". Or "the dais." IOW: "His granddaughter was up on [the stage]." That's it. Nothing quoted in that article comes remotely close to "going after" her.

The headline is a lie. So much for toning down the rhetoric and uniting, eh?

She's an idealogue and the left-wing media and maybe her boss wants him painted to be an animal. Statements like this or deep-held beliefs will never heal a divided country. She contributes to the hate. Her threat to democracy statement is fear the media uses to tug your chains. I remember all the comments in 2016 when I was a Trump supporter and none of the fear that was spewed came to fruition. I feel that the right has the same manipulation by the media when it comes to the left.

Really? The View as influencers? It’s day time talk drivel. Limited audience due to time slot.

Aside from that, the article title way over exaggerated whatever she said. She did not go after the granddaughter but stated her opinion on the fluff of how a family member is endeared to him and that was paraded on stage.

And I think Trump should attend the funeral of the man who gave his life protecting his family at the rally. Trump now not expected to attend funeral of Pa. man killed in assassination attempt

I've never heard anyone say they watch the view. I. Sure whooping would be happy to read tour post but I'm not sure it's factual.

OK I actually didnt know this.

Still, "The View" sounds pretty cheesy to the point where Whoopi still lands on the "celebrity" side rather than the "public intellectual" side. Or even "pretend public intellectual", like Tucker. People actually turn to Tucker as an influence on the lives and thinking. I know, crazy, right? I dont think Whoopi is remotely there yet, even if she'd like to be.
