Vice President Kamala Harris falsely claimed that former President Donald Trump would pass a national abortion ban following the former president's debate with Joe Biden.

"Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide," the vice president wrote in a Sunday X post. "President [Joe Biden] and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women's reproductive freedom."

A community note beneath the post cited multiple media outlets that reported on Trump's abortion stance, providing links to the articles. According to the community note, "President Trump has repeatedly said he will not sign a national abortion ban."

This is out of the Federal government's hands. It is to the states. Many states are upholding the right of women to choose, but some are not. The only path the Federal Government has now is a Constitutional Amendment. The state legislatures are not there, and the House and Senate numbers are not there. The Executive Branch of the FG has nothing to do with Abortion at this point. It does not matter who gets elected President. Whoever gets elected cannot touch this issue. It is an empty argument.

I was watching CNN today in the gym. They had some woman on there who said "Trump has promised to go after women who have had abortions. Arrest them"! --this is categorically false. Trump never said anything remotely like that

Harris' claim is in the same category --outright fabrications

this is why people don't trust the MSM

Fear works. Trump will kill millions of gays. Women will be forced to have babies... male only.
Oh Yeah... he will bring back slavery, too.
Fear works.

Trump pushed Roe V Wade to the Supreme court . They made the decision to bring it to the states . Now the states make that decision. Its good. Most likely the blue states will keep it legal and red states like mine will keep it out .

The case was not pushed to the SC by Trump.

"Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization is related to a Mississippi law that banned nearly all abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy."

Their findings did not make abortion unconstitutional; it merely sent the issue back to the state where it belonged in the first place.
The whole democrat issue with abortion in this election is bogus. It is currently out of the federal gov hands and in the hands of the states. The Dems are lying when they say they will legalize abortion at the federal level in all 50 states. The only way this becomes a fed issue is if someone pushes a constitutional amendment and they do not have the State Legislatures, the House votes, or the Senate votes to accomplish that either way:

"In order to prevent arbitrary changes, the process for making amendments is quite onerous. An amendment may be proposed by a two-thirds vote of both Houses of Congress or, if two-thirds of the States request one, by a convention called for that purpose. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the State legislatures or three-fourths of conventions called in each State for ratification. In modern times, amendments have traditionally specified a time frame in which this must be accomplished, usually a period of several years. "

I think it is so funny when the libs talk about Trump lying then completely ignore the lies of their own candidate. Maybe they should clean out their own hen house first before moving on to the next one......

Fear works.
It does, but supporters of Mr. Trump - who incessantly appeals to irrational fear of the immigrant - need to remember the thing about glass houses and throwing stones.

Let me be clear: if Kamala Harris lied about this issue, she should be roundly criticized and held to account.

But there is an "illegal" immigration process going on. My state, MA, is trying to deal with the flood
of illegals that have been shipped here.

As the saying now goes, every city in the US is now a border city.

March 20, 2024
NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump suggested Tuesday that he’d support a national ban on abortions around 15 weeks of pregnancy, voicing for the first time support for a specific limit on the procedure.

Is anyone really surprised?
