Peace in Christ.
We must fight the good fight of THE (definite articles) faith.
THE faith is in the truth of the gospel….having an age-lasting life through our faith in Christ in this mortal body for the rest of this current evil age we are living in.
We shall not mortally die… as promised by our Lord. But many want to “seduce” us away from that faith in the promise of an age-lasting life….and that is why we must fight for the faith. We are to profess...acknowledge...this good news before many so that they might be saved....mortal salvation in this mortal body in this current, evil age. We have an age-lasting life NOW (present tense).
1Jn 2:25-26
(25) And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal (age-lasting) life.
(26) These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
Again, in Jude we are to “contend for the faith” that was once delivered unto the saints. It was once given to them but is not currently being preached by those who "seduce us". The truth of the gospel is not being currently preached....and we must fight for the faith in the truth of the gospel as there will be many contenders to it.
Jude 1:3-5 KJV
(3) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
For there are “certain men” that have crept into our churches “unawares” who are denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
They are making God out to be a liar as God has testified to us they we have an age-lasting life (now) in His Son. They are denying what the sacrifice of the Son has done for us in this current age.
They are enemies of the cross of Christ as they deny its power to keep us mortally alive throughout this age. If we keep His sacrifice daily in our bodies, then His life (an age-lasting life) shall be made manifest in our outer mortal flesh. They are denying this as they are not preaching it those who are “perishing” away in their mortal bodies to the grave.
These "certain men" have been ordained to this condemnation.....being mortally destroyed under the wrath of God....and they are taking many down with them.Many are being led astray by many false prophets....and they are leading MULTITUDES down the broad way that leads to the destruction of their mortal bodies.
(4) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Even though God saves us out of the world (“Egypt”), He destroys the mortal bodies of those who do not believe. The unbelievers’ (who are being deceived by false prophets) mortal bodies are perishing under His wrath.
(5) I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
This is the testimony that God has given to us an age-lasting life (NOW) and this life is in His Son. They are denying both our Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ in this.
Yet, some will hear and not believe in this and will persecute for the preaching of that truth of the gospel. They will not believe in the testimony of God about His Son whom we are to hear speaking to us this truth.
1Jn 5:10-12 KJV
(10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
(11) And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal (age-lasting) life, and this life is in his Son.
(12) He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
We are to take hold of the age-lasting life now in this mortal body. We are to take hold now of that promise of an age-lasting life. We are called to do it and we profess a good profession before many witnesses. We preach it to many in the fight of that faith.
1Ti 6:12
(12) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal (age-lasting) life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Young's Literal Translation
be striving the good strife of the faith, be laying hold on the life age-during, to which also thou wast called, and didst profess the right profession before many witnesses.
Some of these witnesses (church people) will hear that profession of an age-lasting life and will persecute (in their unbelief of what they hear) with words of contentions, wrath, strife, hatred, etc. But we must be partakers of those “afflictions of the gospel” by not rendering evil for their evil. We are to always keep His sacrifice in our lives by dying to sin as He died on the cross for our sins. This keeping of His sacrifice gives our mortal bodies an age-lasting life now.
2Ti 1:8 KJV
(8) Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
Our Savior brings to light…to our understanding….the true gospel: He has rendered death idle now. In Him is life and immortality.

(10) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
For whosoever believes into Him should not perish (mortally die) but have an age-lasting life.
Joh 3:16-18 KJV
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting (age-lasting) life.
He come so that the world…this world….through Him might be saved. This world is already condemned as it inhabitants perish mortally under the wrath of God.
(17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
(18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Christ is the Light…the knowledge…that comes into the world.
But men refuse to hear His voice….they refuse the truth of the gospel in their unbelief.
The unbelievers’ deeds are evil towards what they hear. They do the works of darkness: behaving in envy, strife, wrath, hatred, contentions, etc. They persecute in their unbelief because of the faith in the truth of the gospel that the Lord speaks to us in the Spirit of Truth.
Joh 3:19-20 KJV
(19) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
They do not want to come to the “light”….that knowledge…lest their deeds should be reproved. The knowledge of our Lord exposes that their church deeds are in error (of which they do not want to hear or acknowledge).
(20) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
The deeds of the organized churches of earthly-minded men are all in error….and they are being judged under the wrath of God which is upon them as no mortal flesh is being saved in any of them.
This is something that they do not want to admit….and so will not come to the light….the knowledge of our Lord. They do not want to hear that their deeds are evil and not righteous.
They do evil in response to the Word of Truth. They refuse the love of the Truth and be saved…to be mortally saved.
IN THEM THAT PERISH (mortally perish): they do not believe in the truth as they continue to follow after their false prophet whose presence in their churches in accordance with the working of Satan. They do not receive the love of the truth that they might be saved (mortally saved).
They who PERISH take pleasure in unrighteousness in response to the hearing of the Truth of the gospel.
They who PERISH will believe that they will have “peace” in doing evil …and they will continue doing evil in their response to the hearing of the truth and take pleasure in others who will do the same.
2Th 2:9-12 KJV
(9) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
(10) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
(11) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
(12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
