....in the same vain:

After his federal indictment over attempts to overturn the election, however — and with another indictment potentially headed his way in Georgia — the former president has seemingly undergone a subtle shift in his messaging.
He has begun to say that this is his opinion.
During a Newsmax interview Wednesday night, Trump added such a qualifier no fewer than six times in the space of 30 seconds.
“I’m telling them that, in my opinion, the election was rigged,” Trump said of the Jan. 2, 2021, call in which he urged Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) to “find” just enough votes to overturn Trump’s deficit.

Trump now adds ‘my opinion’ and ‘what I think’ to stolen-election claims

Who says an old dog can't learn a new trick!
But should he really be revealing his defense strategy before the trial starts?
Oh, who am I kidding, he'll contradict himself half a dozen different ways before then anyway.

He's still claiming, however, that it was a perfect phone call. Even more perfect than the one to Zolenskyy.

Newsmax Host Reads Disclaimer After Trump Rants About Voter Fraud: ‘Network Believes the Results Were Legal and Final’

Newsmax host Carl Higbie punctuated a speech by former President Donald Trump in South Carolina by stating it is his network’s position that the results of the 2020 election were “legal and final.”

“I never get tired of that guy,” he said before adding a caveat from a sheet of paper he was holding up. “The president mentioned in his speech the 2020 elections. Newsmax as a network believes the results were legal and final.”

Dominion’s case against Newsmax is pending.
