Nobody has received one single vote yet. You have placed your cart ahead of the mule. Criminal convictions will likely hurt Donald Trump at the real ballot box. You do have one valid point tho. Clueless people chose to vote for the man (in the primaries) on the verge of several criminal convictions, and it's marginally funny.

Given time and privacy there are things that make water boarding seem tame that also do not leave marks.

But given 20 minutes and no privacy I can't think of any.

And even water boarding leaves one wet and sort of messy. Even given privacy it would be all but impossible to water board someone and get them cleaned up in 20 minutes.

Since when does Donald Trump consider having his picture taken is torturous? He seems to crave that. Even his misguided donors would admit Mr Trump craves the attention. If you keep supporting a liar he will never quit lying to you. Donald is the man he is because people have rewarded his bad behavior instead of punishing him for it.

I would imagine that any Billionaire who was arrested would feel tortured. If he goes to prison that's when the real torture begins when prisoners start extorting him for money for protection.
