Exactly. I feel that someone entering the Church with the intention of corrupting it from the inside is a selfish, corrupt person.
Reminds me of these verses as well.
To be fair, not all Christian denominations have issues with the LGBT community. There are Christian churches with LGBT clergy, and plenty that will perform same-sex marriages as well.
Those must not of read the bible. I could respect them more if they made up a new religion instead of claiming to be Christian and denying it's teachings.
Arguably, the only requirement in order to call yourself Christian is that you follow the teachings of Christ. And Christ Himself didn't have a whole lot to say about the subject. Most Christian teaching on homosexuality comes from Paul, with a side of Old Testament.
Well, @RocksInMyHead said that there are Christian denominations which support the LGBT movement. For myself, I do not support the LGBT movement, but I will not judge them (as God commanded us to love our neighbors), as long as the LGBT do not force it onto others.
I'm sure Jesus wouldn't of approved of the LGBT+ movement, as it involves sexual sin. And the bible is an indisputable resource for Christian living, whether it came from the words of Jesus or that of the Holy Spirit (through the Saints).
That's the quandary. As the movement grows, it becomes more intolerable of other's beliefs and creates situations in which Christian living is in peril.
Why would they be tolerant of those who are intolerant towards them?
