I.e., besides eternal life.

After our resurrection, true believers will be judged by Jesus but not for eternal life; then for what?

For eternal rewards. 1 Cor 3:

8 He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.
I think Paul was talking about eternal rewards.

12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13 his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 14If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames.
It is not clear what exactly these rewards and treasures are. Paul mentioned the crown of righteousness in 2 Timothy 4:

6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
Peter spoke of the crown of glory in 1 Peter 5:

4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
One use of crowns is found in Revelation 4:

10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne
Different people may receive different rewards, Matthew 16:

27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.
God is not stingy. Matthew 10:

42 Whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.
God is generous:

41 The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.
Whatever these eternal rewards might be, we only have one life to earn them. Don't waste your chance. Matthew 6:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal

I think it is evident, though I can't prove it by just the parallel, that eye has not seen nor ear heard —we cannot imagine— what God has in store for us. But we usually attribute such ideas to a general 'the way things are, in Heaven'. I think the 'rewards' are very much of the same thing. Very specific and particular but when we think, for example, that maybe they will be in keeping with the deeds or attitudes or whatever else he rewards us for, that we can understand. We understand very little.

Heaven, I believe, will be about the purpose for which we were created —to be one with God, he our very sustenance, our substance of his very word. For example, I like to think that we will be so busy that were HE not our very power we would die in an instant from sheer exertion and intensity. Our joy and our intelligence and our artistic nature all working together for his praise. —But if that be so, then what about the rewards/gifts? Will we not find it our very pleasure to know him, to find infinity in our service to him?

Human words merge meaning, when considering the implications behind the infinite God who is of himself very "existence", "being". For the Omnipotent, is there any difference between thinking and doing? Omniscient God need not consider before acting, he need not choose what is better to do, or weigh consequences. I like to think that we will become familiar with words that are meaning, substance, instead of representing meaning to limited minds. So when we receive rewards, and when crowns are returned to him, laid at his feet, it is gain, for the rewarded, to give back. I can hardly wait.
