• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Hey something amazing just happened! I was at Christ Community Church this morning and I went up for prayer after the meeting for my illness (schizophrenia). I got ministered to very powerfully, I was sick as a dog, profoundly ill, I probably belonged in the mental hospital but didn't have to go thus far. I am now better socially, I am experiencing pleasure in daily life for the first time in my life, and I am more functional all the way around! I got down on my KNEES and thanked God for what He did for me! I now understand God better, previously I saw God as being very mean, I did not realize it but it was my illness! I also got healed of emotional trauma, I had alot of emotional trauma as a child and God showed me I had something wrong with my brain that stopped me from letting it out, I had no choice but to stuff-it. God told me that this was why I had schizophrenia, I had repressed emotions and that triggered my illness.

If you have a mental illness and are within driving distance of Camp Hill, PA you may want to get down to Christ Community Church, they have a special anointing to heal people of mental illness! It is real, guaranteed! I have been down there the last 5 Sunday AMs and I have experienced more healing there than ever before in my life!

Something else interesting- for about the last 2 months something has happened every time I go to church, every single time! At any church in the Harrisburg area a random person that I do not know just walks up to me and starts praying and God heals me of something! Then as soon as they are done praying I immediately forget about the whole thing, I don't remember a thing! This also happens at any church in the Harrisburg area! I was at my other church Grace Chapel yesterday and as soon as I walked in the door my pastor started ministering to me, I am convinced God that did alot but I did not sense anything, then immediately afterwards I forgot about the whole thing again!

That last part speaks volumes. Repressed emotions that triggered your illness-- wow.

A testimony-I just got back from Christ Community Church for the Sunday AM service. I have a mental illness (schizophrenia) and I got word that Christ CC had a special anointing to heal people of mental illness so I have been coming to get prayer every Sunday for awhile now. I went up for prayer this morning and got prayer for my condition and the prayer team had words of knowledge that God was re-wiring my brain and also healing the synapses. While they were praying I sensed nothing, not a thing, I actually thought that nothing happened, but I just got home and I suddenly realized that some distressing thought patterns I had were gone! I am now completely immune to these! Something very profound had to have happened in my brain, my condition is incurable, there is no cure for schizophrenia but I just got healed!

Hey this has happened at least 20 times now, I get prayer at church and then as soon as they are done I immediately forget about everything, I don't remember a thing! I get Holy Ghost amnesia! I think God has a reason for this! I was at a healing meeting last Tues night and I got ministered to powerfully, however I did not sense anything happening while I was receiving prayer, nothing at all, and now I am sitting here thinking about it and I don't remember anything that happened! This happens at any church I go to in the Harrisburg area!

you could be on the more dissociative side of the schitzophrenia spectrum.

which means when you are fully healed and integrated, "you" will remember all these forgotten things.

WOW!!! There is word out there of people spontaneously remitting from schizophrenia, the same thing that happened to you, people just wake up one day and it is all gone! This does happen, it has been documented, I think when this happens it is divine intervention! God has mercy on people with this disease!
