Ephesians 5:
be filled
πληροῦσθε (plērousthe)
Verb - Present Imperative Middle or Passive - 2nd Person Plural
Strong's 4137: From pleres; to make replete, i.e. to cram, level up, or to furnish, satisfy, execute, finish, verify, etc.
The present tense means "Be filled" repeatedly. This is not a one-time event.
The human spirit animates a person. The Holy Spirit empowers a person to act according to the Spirit.
The filling with the Spirit is sometimes associated with prophesying. Acts 2:
How to get filled?
Paul lists some pointers in 1 Thessalonians 5:
Interesting enough... Jesus is given "Gall" (Sour Wine or Super Strong Drink!) while on the cross. He refused to drink it.
Gall wine was known as "SOUR WINE" which essentially means that it was fermented into what we would almost consider liquor. Workers would take this wine and mix it in very small volumes with water to prevent disease. They would also swig it when they had rough days. There are several lingual renderings to this matter.... and both are purposefully intended.
1 way is to call it Hard Drink or Liquor, which is to say Gall Wine or Sour Wine.
The other way is to call it a mixed wine and include what it was mixed with...
Mark 15:23 they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it.
Mark 15:23 And they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.
This had nothing to do with "Drinking".
We all remember when Jesus did this...
John 2:7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. 8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”
They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
The Basins were made of STONE.... and Jesus of coarse turned the Water into genuine Top Shelf WINE (The real kind, not "grape juice", or Jesus would have caused a riot)
Luke 5:37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. 39 And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’”
New Wineskins hadn't been stretched yet by the fermentation process, so they could be filled with NEW WINE that would ferment into a PERFECT VINTAGE over time. Old Wineskins had already been stretched by the fermentation process, so they would explode if NEW WINE was placed in them... as the second fermentation process would overstretch them and all the wine would be lost.
Joel 2:19 Behold, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied with them
Joel 2 is about Messiah just as Joel 3 is, but Jesus put Joel 3 on Pause, due to the Hardness of half of Israel's Hearts. Israel lost it's namesake that became the foundation of the New Covenant, while Israel that held on to the Old Covenant retained it's namesake of Israel, yet was cutoff from Messiah, because of this very scriptural dialogue.
Now it comes to it.... Just as Jesus foretold, Galatians and Hebrews affirms and Revelation REALLY drives home... it's a SUPER-DEE-DUPER bad idea to attempt to mix ANY PORTION of the STONE COVENANT with the NEW COVENANT. HOW BAD?
Revelation 20:1,2,3,4,5,6 has already happened and it is difficult to fully believe this because of a key verse within the passage.
The thing is, people don't know how important the LITERAL Body of God on earth is! The "Angel" with the Key isn't an ANGEL, but the ONE AND ONLY Messenger of YHWH with the Name of YHWH written within HIS SOUL! This Key holding Messenger is ONE in the same as This "Guy".
Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
The HOLY SPIRIT OF CHRIST within the Saints Binds Satan and his angels to this earth! We are the GREAT CHAINS! The MESSENGER with the KEY to the ABYSS is The HOLY GHOST (SOUL) of God Himself!
In Hebrews 1:2 it is often translated as such:
Hebrews 1:2 In these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son. God has appointed Him heir of all things and made the universe through Him.
This is a POOR TRANSLATION! Only the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible) gets it correct!
Hebrews 1:2 But now, in the acharit-hayamim, he has spoken to us through his Son, to whom he has given ownership of everything and through whom he created the universe.
acharit-hayamim "A term in Jewish theology that refers to events that will occur at the end of days, such as the coming of the Messiah, the afterlife, and the resurrection of the dead. This area of Jewish theology is known as Jewish eschatology."
Hebrews is written to the Jews who have witnessed the Fulfillment of the OLD COVENANT! The FIRST coming of the Messiah was a direct fulfilment of what JEWS considered to be "THE LAST DAYS". There's a lot more to this in reference to the NEW COVENANT and the Literal People and Land of Jacob, but that is another day and another study.
So... All this said... why a bunch of people get tripped up on Revelation 20, besides the MESSENGER rendering being correct, not ANGEL, is a very specific verse:
Revelation 20:4 ... And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for testifying about Yeshua and proclaiming the Word of God, also those who had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not received the mark on their foreheads and on their hands. They came to life and ruled with the Messiah for a thousand years.
This one kind of hurts to know! People go all over God's green earth to try to figure it out.. it only takes 2 passages in scripture to reveal what it is and it really is sobering!
This is rather Jarring... but to the very ILK that Jesus specifically called SONS of THE DEVIL (Accuser of the Brethren, Adversaries of God under the Adversary)
Matthew 23:13 “But woe to you hypocritical Torah-teachers and P’rushim! For you are shutting the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces, neither entering yourselves nor allowing those who wish to enter to do so. 14
15 “Woe to you hypocritical Torah-teachers and P’rushim! You go about over land and sea to make one proselyte; and when you succeed, you make him twice as fit for Gei-Hinnom as you are!
THIS IS HARSH and a SHOCK!
Deuteronomy 6:1 “Now this is the mitzvah, the laws and rulings which Adonai your God ordered me to teach you for you to obey in the land you are crossing over to possess, 2 so that you will fear Adonai your God and observe all his regulations and mitzvot that I am giving you — you, your child and your grandchild — as long as you live, and so that you will have long life. 3 Therefore listen, Isra’el, and take care to obey, so that things will go well with you, and so that you will increase greatly, as Adonai, the God of your ancestors, promised you by giving you a land flowing with milk and honey.
(A:vi, S: v) 4 “Sh’ma, Yisra’el! Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad [Hear, Isra’el! Adonai our God, Adonai is one]; 5 and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources. 6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; 7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them on your hand as a sign, put them at the front of a headband around your forehead,
Yeah.... so the Mark is being IN the OLD Covenant and the NEW Covenant AT THE SAME TIME! Mixing the Covenant's is SUPER BAD! I MEAN... SSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR BAD!!!!!!!!!
This entire chapter of Proverbs is a DEEP warning to stay away from the OLD COVENANT!
Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker and Strong Drink a brawler;
whoever is led astray by them is not wise. This is literally about mixing the two covenants and how bad it is!
