Again, that's all most of Trump's corporations are and yet you gleefully tout them as evidence of his business acumen.

Top 5 Businesses Owned by Donald Trump

The list below is limited to businesses for which a specific revenue amount was given. The numbers are the latest available from documents.

1. Trump National Doral

  • 2019 Revenue: $77,207,936
  • 2018 Revenue: $75,962,84820
  • 2019 Asset Value: Over $50,000,00013
  • Business Type: Golf Resort
What is now the Trump National Doral golf resort was founded in 1962, in Doral, near Miami.21 Trump bought the resort out of bankruptcy for $150 million in 2012.22

The Doral was the source of considerable controversy in 2019 when the former president announced plans to hold the 2020 meeting of the G7 at Trump National Doral. He withdrew the proposal after accusations that this was an attempt to profit from his presidency.23

2. Trump Old Post Office LLC

  • 2019 Revenue: $40,523,041
  • 2018 Revenue: $40,842,29420
  • 2019 Asset Value: Over $50,000,00013
  • Business Type: Hotel
This business is a holding company for the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., which operates in the Old Post Office building, a national landmark. Trump's company holds a long-term lease on the property, owned by the U.S. government, which could last nearly 100 years with extensions.24

The hotel was at the center of a major emoluments case against the former president. A group of hotel and restaurant owners sued Trump for violating the emoluments clause, alleging that he was unconstitutionally profiting from his office because his hotel gets the business of foreign officials staying there to curry his favor. The group argued that this gave the former president's hotel an unfair competitive advantage against their businesses.255

Possibly as a result of lawsuits and public criticism, the Trump Organization planned to sell its lease to the property. They were seeking a purchase price of more than $500 million, one of the highest-priced hotel deals per room ever.26 The sale process was placed on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.27

3. Trump Ruffin Tower LLC

  • 2019 Revenue: $27,677,448, divided between $4,414,500 in condo sales and $23,262,948 in hotel revenue
  • 2018 Revenue: $28,558,298, divided between $6,002,244 in condo sales and $22,556,054 in hotel revenue20
  • 2019 Asset Value: Over $50,000,00013
  • Business Type: Hotel and Condominium Complex
Trump Ruffin Tower LLC manages the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Las Vegas. Constructed in 2008, the tower is a combination hotel and condominium development.

It struggled as the Great Recession hit when it opened more than a decade ago, devastating the real estate market. Plans for a second tower were scrapped.28

4. Trump Turnberry
  • 2019 Revenue: 25,691,318
  • 2018 Revenue: $23,446,63420
  • 2019 Asset Value: Over $50,000,000
  • Business Type: Golf Resort13
Originally built in 1906 by Archibald Kennedy, the third Marquess of Ailsa, Trump Turnberry is one of two golf resorts the former president owns in Scotland.29

Trump purchased the Turnberry resort from a Dubai-based company for an undisclosed sum.30

5. Mar-a-Lago Club LLC

  • 2019 Revenue: 21,432,344
  • 2018 Revenue: $22,692,14620
  • 2019 Asset Value: Over $50,000,000
  • Business Type: Hotel and Resort13
The Mar-a-Lago Club was built as a private mansion in 1927 by Marjorie Merriweather Post, who inherited the Postum Cereal Company, which later became the General Foods Corporation.31

In 1968, she decided to donate Mar-a-Lago to the U.S. government to serve as a winter White House. When she died in 1973, the government refused the gift due to its high maintenance costs.

The estate was purchased by Trump in 1985 for a reported $8 million. He used it as a winter White House and continues to operate it as a private resort club.32

I guess "Truth Social" loses credibility after its owner adds 34 felony convictions to the $450 million tax fraud, $84 million sexual abuse judgment and $25 million fraudulent university judgment.
The silver lining I see is that Wall Street realizes he's a bad investment, even if his loyal followers don't.
Lots of unfair disinformation about DJT stock, Trump's companies (bankruptcies), and Trump's legal woes. Trump has had 6 bankruptcies out of about 250 companies. This is far lower than average. Of course, zero would be better. But other than tax write offs, I do not think that Trump has had too much public money or bailouts for his companies. One casino went bankrupt three times. Should I feel sorry for those investors? I don't, it was their choice.

As to "tax fraud" that is a mischaracterization. It is a civil fraud judgement not a tax fraud case. ""Former President Donald Trump must pay more than $360 million in “ill-gotten” gains in a civil fraud judgment — plus interest that may spike that tally to above $450 million, a judge ruled on Friday." Trump Must Pay $450m Civil Fraud Judgment, But Now Avoids Corp Death Penalty
No one was harmed in this case at all. None of those loans were bad but the government decided to bring a civil fraud suit anyway. Valuations of property are quite hard to determine. It seems likely Trump overstated them, but I have had property assessed in one direction or another far more than what Trump was claiming. Once in my county I saw a property sell for 13 million. I looked at the tax roles and it was valued at 2.5 million. That's off far more than Trump's percentages on what he claimed property was worth. He seemed to embellish though, square footage and found other ways to value property higher. So his bad, but how often is this type of civil judgment brought on? "An Associated Press analysis of nearly 70 years of civil cases under the law showed that such a penalty has only been imposed a dozen previous times, and Trump’s case stands apart in a significant way: It’s the only big business found that was threatened with a shutdown without a showing of obvious victims and major losses." Dissolving Trump's business empire would stand apart in history of NY fraud law

On Trump's 32 felony convictions. The DA coddled together a crime to bring the charges to a felony in a way that was NEVER done before. "The Washington Post reviewed the New York State Law Reporting Bureau as far back as 2000 for any relevant case law regarding this specific statute. The report found “two entries in which a judge issued legal opinions on the statute. Both were from [Judge Juan] Merchan last year in rejecting Trump’s motions to have the case dismissed.” That’s how rarely Section 17-152 is prosecuted in New York. And that fact makes Bragg’s decision to primarily premise the prosecution of a former president of the United States on that statute even more novel." Source Opinion | The novel legal theory at the heart of Alvin Bragg's case against Trump

The civil case of sexual abuse did rule against Trump though most of the money was for defamation. None of the charges were criminal.

The University "alleged fraud" case was settled with all parties agreeing that Trump did not have to admit wrongdoing. The settlement covered three court actions against Trump. Trump simply paid money to settle the case. https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo...illion-settlement-of-trump-university-lawsuit

As to DJT stock, it is legitimate. It filed all the listing requirements and offered a prospectus just like any other company. It offers free speech, and people have the freedom to invest or not. To defame the company with "only negative opinions" seems similar to some of Trump's behavior. Is it all based on lies and fraud? There are lies and fraud in Christian Forums but is that the websites fault? Here is what Fidelity technical research says on DJT

This does not mean it is a good stock to own. I think it has more value than Bitcoin, but that too is just an opinion. If you look at price to sales, earnings, and market cap (8.5 billion) most financial metrics would scream overvalued. I am sure there are companies that are worse out there. The beta is 6.42, which means it is a stock that moves daily far more than the average beta of 1.0. In a screening search I found only 10 stocks above 6. Avis car rental is one. So it is highly speculative and the numbers reflect that. Only 30% of the shares trade too, while the other shares are locked up for I think about 4 months more, meaning Trump or other investors that own the stock can't sell yet. I suppose it is a way that the some people use to support Trump, You can buy his shares when he can sell.

Sorry to be a bit obsessive on part the record on Trump's dealings and court cases. I am no big fan of Trump but there are injustices done in his prosecutions.

In your time on google, did you happen to search for what the word "most" means? Because I said that "most" of Trump's companies were shells like what you were describing. I did not say that they all were, so I don't know what posting a selection like this is supposed to prove. Here is a list of all of his companies - or at least, that's what one site claims is all of them. There are 269. You gave me 5. 269 minus 5 still leaves you with "most" of 269.

Oh, look real property -

Oh, another 12 seconds:

This part is especially funny, because you obviously didn't read your own article or check any of what it says.

It also isn't named that anymore:

Trump Towers: Istanbul, Turkey

Trump Towers Istanbul was a licensing deal.

Trump World: Seoul, Korea

Hey, Trump actually developed this one.

Trump International Hotel And Tower: Toronto, Canada

Mainly a licensing and hotel management deal. Trump did not develop it and sold his minority stake in the building in 2017.

The Palm Trump International Hotel And Tower: Dubai, UAE

The Pal Trump Dubai was never built.

Trump Ocean Club International Hotel And Tower: Panama City, Panama

Trump Ocean Club was a licensing and hotel management deal, from which Trump was booted in 2018.

Trump Ocean Resort: Baja, Mexico

Trump Ocean Resort Baja was a licensing deal on building that was never completed:

Trump At Cap Cana: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Punta Cana was also a licensing deal on a failed resort:

Trump Tower Manila: Manila, Philippines

Trump Tower Manila is also a licensing deal:

Trump Tower: Mumbai, India

Trump Tower Mumbai is a licensing deal.

Trump Tower: Pune, India

Trump Tower Pune is a licensing deal.

No one harmed? The taxpayers are harmed by gargantuan cheaters like Trump.
He was ordered to pay taxes on Trump Tower in 1979, but he applied for an exemption, saying the property was distressed. 5th Avenue overlooking Central Park? Really?
Instead of paying his taxes he sued and the Supreme Court gave him the exemption.
Not one red cent in property taxes on Trump Tower for 40 years!!
To put this in perspective, modest homes in the near suburbs, 70 years old, 1200 sf on a 6000 sf lot, pay about $14K annually.
My family members who still live there are probably happy the felon is in Florida, cheating Floridians instead of New Yorkers.
