Government schools have become day camps for indoctrinating a woke cadre

The U.S. Department of Education awarded a coveted blue ribbon of excellence to Rota Elementary School, which serves children of military service members abroad in Spain. The DOE singled out Rota’s commitment to “families and educators work[ing] together in partnership.” But the “partnership” between teachers and parents that the DOE praises has a weird twist, as it appears to be rooted in keeping parents in the dark about classroom activities.

According to Rota teacher Genevieve Chavez, elementary school is the “ideal time” to introduce children to gender identity ideology because “kids as young as four years old are already starting to develop a stable understanding of their gender identity.” And once they hit middle school, according to Chavez, Rota will keep students’ alternative gender identities secret from their “unsafe” parents. So much for “families and educators work[ing] together in partnership.”

This stuff is scary, and is one of the reasons why I will not have any children. In fact, some parents have gotten arrested for speaking out against the gender bending ideology of schools in 2024.

One family had to flee the US, as a teacher tried to indoctrinate their 10-year-old: Family flees US after teacher spurs, hides 10-year-old daughter’s gender ‘transition’

And another family lost custody of their child, for not affirming the trans pronouns/name of the kid: Removing trans-identified child from Catholic parents' home sets 'dangerous precedent': attorney

We are in the end times my friend, the end times. We need Jesus to come back.

Man, is my tax money going to this stuff? It is good that education is funded by taxes, but at the same time, when education becomes corrupted and kids no longer learn (life skills, math, English or logical reasoning), and are instead fed the trans narrative, then I do not want my taxes to go to this crud.

However, Jesus did say in Mark 2:17 (ESV): "Then Jesus said to them, 'Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.'"

So, even though our taxes are supporting this evil stuff, Jesus will not punish us for paying our taxes, and even encourages us to pay taxes.

But, I really don't wanna pay taxes to this stuff...

Are only views you agree with allowed to be taught? Seems to me that school should be a place we're multiple points of view are expressed with kids getting the critical thinking skills to come to their own conclusions.

Bro. Let's take it back to 2012 again, where none of this stuff was talked about.

Why? These are things going on in the works today. Why should it but be talked about?
I pine for the past, my friend. Times were simpler a decade ago. The Bible commands us to not pine for the past*, but I do it all the time nowadays. Civil rights used to be about helping people of different skin colors (skin pigmentation is what we are born with), while transgenderism is stuff we are not born with, but is a societal fabrication.

*Ecclesiastes 7:10 (NIV): "Do not say, ‘Why were the old days better than these?’ For it is not wise to ask such questions."

MLK is the man, and one of my heroes. A great guy who brought us together as a society.

Martin Luther King Jr., the civil rights leader and Baptist minister was a Christian historical figure who experienced rejection and fulfilled God's mission despite facing obstacles. Throughout his career, King advocated for racial equality and social justice through nonviolent means, inspiring millions of people around the world.

However, King also faced fierce opposition from those who opposed his message of unity and equality. He received numerous death threats, was arrested multiple times, and ultimately assassinated at the age of 39. Despite these challenges, King remained committed to his cause and believed that he was carrying out God's will. In his famous "I Have a Dream" speech, he declared, "With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood."

King's unwavering commitment to justice and equality continues to inspire generations of activists and believers today, demonstrating how one person can make a profound impact on the world when they align themselves with God's purposes and remain steadfast in the face of adversity.

Times were not really simpler, they just appear that way from our vantage point. I admit that I also pine for my younger days when I had my youth and health. But life is about struggling onwards and doing the best we can with what we know now. That is why education is so important. We should not confuse progress with discomfort. In 60 years this will be some persons golden past.

I agree with you on this about how the past looked better when we were younger, but I do not like why sexuality has to be brought up in schools nowadays. Sex belongs in the bedroom.

But it has never in the history of man actually stayed there. Given the amount of misinformation being fostered about sex as a phenomenon, somebody need to teach these kids what's what so they will know what they are facing.

Unfortunately, Social Science classes don't usually have fuller Philosophy skills embedded within their curricular contours. What's more, the "hidden curricula" that not infrequently inhabits the substance of the teacher's political ideology suppresses the fuller gaining of critical thinking among students.

It takes more than simply being engaged with a pre-selected, focused liberal agenda under the guise of "learning about multiple points of view" to qualify as Critical Thinking in the classroom. If all schools are doing is conditioning kids to accept what are more or less "Marxified" principles of solidarity and equality, then all that is being propagated is Criticism rather than Critical Thinking.

Critical Thinking should be able to cut both ways. It's always a travesty when and where it is claimed to be used but the double-edged sword doesn't actually swing both ways.

I disagree. Sex has been stigmatized for far to long. It is just another component of our biological nature and we really need to stop treating it as some sacrosanct thing. Can you imagine if we treated food consumption the way we do sex?

Of course. Critical thinking requires training in data assessment and breaking down view point ambiguity. Simply presenting different view points does nothing but present data. We need to teach kids critical thinking basics prior to presenting any point of view.

And here I thought we already treated sex in the same way that we treat food consumption.

At least, that was my general perception when I often frequented the local corner "Quick Store" for a comic Book, a super-size Slurpee and a pack of baseball cards as a kid in the 1970's and 80's .................................................

Really? How many times have you heard religious people hollering for opt out clauses for school lunch?

And how do you propose that schools should do this?

I think you've misunderstood my insinuation about how society has already been socializing kids. And adults.
