Just because you wouldn’t call them sinners doesn’t mean they aren’t sinners. The USA has no obligation to take them in, and are 100% justified in setting up borders.
I agree. The U.S. has no legal obligation let everyone in. I don't have the answer. But I do know that dehumanizing them all is morally wrong. Painting them all as criminals, rapists, thieves and murderers is wrong.

Oh I see!
You recognize you have a personal obligation to help the poor because of your faith
Incorrect. 2 Corinthians 9:7
But because of that pesky border thing you do NOT have a Christian obligation to do so.
Incorrect, see above.
Because God really cared about and respected man made concepts and the bible actually says we should bend our morality to them.
Countries having a border is actually something God created when he made Israel. If you think God doesn’t care about borders you’re either delusional or lying.

They are indeed all criminals because they have broken the law, obviously they’re not all murderers, no one said that, but many are, and American’s safety should come first.

Well now Trump is a criminal also. Some do not care and still support him.

The OP refers to "misuse " of the Bible.

We must simply remember that the entire history of the Jewish people is one of vulnerability and oppression. Its prophets call to remember that and to have compassion on all who are poor, vulnerable and appressed. It is especially sad that the poor and vulnerable are always more likely to be incarcerated or on the wrong side of the legal system. See School-to-prison pipeline.

Immigration is a complex problem. We have parents traveling miles with small children. I suppose the children are criminals also.

He is appealing his case. Many people believe that he didn’t break the law.

Everyone is certain illegal immigrants did, that much is certain. It’s in the definition.

Compassion doesn’t mean we should advocate for the legal system to merely overlook them breaking the law.

The “system works” except when my guy is convicted.

Not entirely sure. His lawyers are more aware of the law than I am. We will have to wait and see.
Yeah, that’s the thing about a legal appeal, they are certainly allowed to appeal, but have to have some reasoning beyond it’s a bad thing President Trump got charged let alone convicted of these phony-balogna charges! I mean c’mon!

I can guarantee you they will not use that as their appeal reason. Please don’t strawman.

Yes, it was an intentional strawmaning.
I used it as a rhetorical device to inform the (as yet not-yet-[mis]-informed) reader, that such an argument cannot be used, there has to be some foundational flaw or errant ruling that would have substantially affected the outcome of the case…I was curious what people might think those are.
