I am talking to a guy and I really like him we talk daily. Sometimes I get annoyed and upset when we argue and he doesn’t answer my texts. Is it bad that him not answering me has an impact on my emotions? It does make me annoyed but I try my best not to project it on others. I have had several guys ghost me in the past so I think that’s why I get so upset and annoyed when it happens. I believe that I am putting God before him though. I make sure to make time for God each day and my time with God has not been impacted in any way. Advice?

It's not my call, I don't know your heart like He does. But I can tell you that God cleaned me of a bunch of idols, and you can trust Him to make it abundantly clear when it's time for them to go. He loves that you are concerned about it, and as long as you've taken it to Him, you can relax and trust Him.

I define idolization as "to love or admire to excess". From what little I read about this guy and your history, you may actually be projecting neediness. Typically men are turned off by this. So do some soul searching. Pray that Our Father give you confidence in yourself!

It seems you are saying he stops answering when you start arguing.

Arguing can be wrong. After all, God's word says >

"Do all things without complaining and disputing," (Philippians 2:14)

And >

"be clothed with humility" (in 1 Peter 5:5)

And >

"nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3)

So, possibly he is being your good example, by pulling away from arguing with you. And by making issues about your emotions and idolization, may be you are ghosting the real issue which is the arguing being wrong.

Hey, did you ask the guy out? God is okay with you having a crush on the guy, as long as it is genuine, and not lustful. Just, try not to argue with the guy.
