The Unity of Faith. What do you believe?

The Unity of the Spirit ....is by the Holy Spirit and for us to keep by our right attitude one to another otherwise we disqualify ourselves.

`I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.` (Eph. 4: 1 - 3)

The Unity of the Faith ....is believing the truths of how the Lord is building His Body and His purposes.

`And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ, till we all come to the Unity of the Faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;.....` (Eph. 4: 11 - 13)

The truths of how the Lord is building His Body -

Salvation, believer`s baptism, infilling of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the 5-fold ministries of the Lord and His eternal Purposes for the Body of Christ, Israel and the nations.

So, what do you believe?

1. All.

2. Some. (please write which, thank you).

Does that mean you believe that list I wrote?

Yes, as this is all in the Bible, and I believe in the Bible.

Believer's baptism, i.e. credobaptism, which says that infants and young children can't be baptized, is not in the Bible, and I'm not sure that you meant to agree to believer's baptism since it denies Catholic doctrine (as well as Orthodox, Anglican, Lutheran, and Presbyterian doctrine - really only a minority of low-church Protestants believe in credobaptism).

Agreed. We say the Nicene Creed at church every service, which I agree with wholeheartedly.

I wonder why Philip, when the Ethiopian asked to be baptized, answered as he did:

“Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."” (Ac 8:37 NKJV)

Then, when the Philippian jailer believed in Jesus Christ, we read:

“33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.” (Ac 16:33-34 NKJV)

So the jailer and his household believed, then he and his household were baptized.

Sorry I didn't express myself sufficiently clearly. My post related to the part of yours where you said that baptism does not place a requirement of personal mental assent on the person being baptized. I therefore quoted what happened when the Ethiopian requested baptism, and Philip placed the requirement that he believe with all his heart, surely something he could not do without personal mental assent. I hope that makes it a bit clearer,

Eph 4:13 is where our apostle , Paul , wrote by the Holy Spirit wrote about the UNITY OF THE FAITH , that I know about .

If all were to IMITATE Paul of me , just as I am of Christ ,

Eph 4:13 , we would have UNITY ,

We would have Accurate Knowledge of the Son of God

Unto a PERFECT MAN

Unto a MEASURE of the Stature of the FULNESS of Christ

verse 14 that we would not be INFANTS and read verses 14 and 15 !!

Sure, paedobaptists have no problem with adult converts needing to make their own profession of faith, in the same way that adults in the Old Testament could profess their own desire to be circumcised. Similarly, infants who were going to be raised in the faith were circumcised based on their parents' faith, just like infants today are baptized based on their parents' faith.

But my main point as it relates to the OP is that believer's baptism is not a component of the "truths of how the Lord is building His Body."

Many believe that WATER BAPTISM is for today ?

And many say that we are under the NEW COVENANT ?

And I say that we are all UNDER the Grace of God !

And Salvation is different to many ??

And many like ME , says that WATER BAPTISM does not save .

And many are PER-MILL !!

And some are MID MILL !!

And some are POST - MILL

And this is a small list !!

To be in the FAITH , you wil have to believe in 1 Tim 1:4 , Nor give attention to Fables , and ENDLESS Genealogies which

cause questions , rather than God's DISPENSATION the ONE BY FAITH .
