  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Death by the Sword, or Captivity

If you read closely, you may notice, that those who are worthy to take part in the First Resurrection, are those who were decapitated for the Name of Jesus. The only other possible way, was captivity to the Beast.

That is to say, if you wish to keep your head, into Captivity you will go. If the Word of God bears fruit in you, Death by the Sword you will go.

That is why one cannot care for the things in the world, or read the Word by it's letter, for those doing so, are using their heads.

Therefore I think that the many heads of the Beast are the ways that the Devil deceives you into thinking that you are the master of your own fate. Clearly a demonic doctrine.

Oh Captain my Captain. Haha. Dorks.

Christians will be persecuted in the name of Jesus. Says so in the Bible, 2 Timothy 3:12 to be specific. Stephen was killed for his preaching of Christ. No idea what the last part of your post means though. Using the term "dorks" is not good. Jesus said, "Whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council" (Matthew 5:22b).

Sorry, I thought every one knew of the poem, that is about captains, and being the master of one's fate.

Yes I agree anyone who goes into to the Name of Jesus will be persecuted. This is the affliction of our soul when we are revealed our sin.

I am not familiar with all poems and stuff, but I like the poem.

Got to watch the Dead Poet's Society one of these days :)

Agreed. So, maybe I should not add the movie to my list. I do not like movies that blaspheme Christianity.
