The world does not acknowledge nor does it understand what they are seeing. There will not be a Palestinian state. It is not profitable. Who is a Palestinian ? They need to ask some questions.

No idea myself, but could it be a case of them intending or announcing that they are but ending up never making an official move to recognition?

Hmm, possibly. I haven't looked further into it, seeing the map like that just took me by surprise.

Well, here is the strange thing. Algeria does not recognize Palestine, but it also does not recognize Israel as a country either, as shown on the countries who recognize Israel. Is Algeria trying to be the new Switzerland (as in the stereotypical neutral party, not recognizing both areas as countries)?

Wikipedia backs you up that both Algeria and Indonesia recognized the State of Palestine on Day 1.
