When we realize everyone after Genesis 3:6 is a sinner who is dead in their sin and transgression and enslaved to sin and destined for destruction apart from Christ then - if we are completely honest and blunt with ourselves - that means what God does to the sinfully dead and enslaved sinner is nothing more than messing with the trash. All those Jews to whom He sent a delusion were all already dead and on their way to destruction. Sinners like to imagine themselves valuable. Sometimes Christians make the same mistake because they see the sinner through the perspective of their changed, regenerate state and not the rancid rot that is sin. God did not/does not have to do anything. If He does nothing the sinner's fate is already decided. As sinners we thought we had life and lived a life of life, but the truth is we were nothing more than still-animated rotting corpses plodding through time in what we thought was a life. We were all already deluded. Our hearts were pumping blood, and our lungs were breathing air, but we were not alive. We only thought we were alive; we imagined it and defined being alive in materialistic and philosophical sophistry.

I needed to start a small fire the other day, so I retrieved some debris from a trash can and used it to kindle the fire. While I was retrieving that trash I noticed some eggshells, so I took them out of the trash and ground them up to be used as fertilizer in my vegetable garden. I did not ask the paper or the eggshells if they wanted to be lit on fire or crushed up and buried. It's trash and I can do whatever I like with the trash without even remotely compromising my moral integrity.


God can do the same.


He can deceive the already deluded animated corpses all He wants. That He would choose to save some from BOTH the sin and their delusion is the amazing part, not the taking out the trash for His own purposes.

11 This is what the Lord says to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people:

everything this people calls a conspiracy;
do not fear what they fear,
and do not dread it.
13 The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy,

a stone that causes people to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall.
And for the people of Jerusalem he will be
a trap and a snare.
15 Many of them will stumble;
they will fall and be broken,
they will be snared and captured.”

Satan who decieves has created a false Word, a false Christ a false salvation. Those who bring service with their lips, but do not realize their fallenness, or their need for salvation. Alternatively they have a works based righteousness, "do this and you will be saved", that they should be saved, by just that act of the flesh alone.
