The fewer friends the better?

I want to rebuke so many churches. But I chase them away with my beliefs and problems so maybe its for the best. I hate religion with a passion. The division is over nonsense and it makes me a little agitated.

I've been as angry as anybody in the Christian church. But I want to be more like Jesus. I don't mean this at all in the self-righteous sense. I know what is in me.

I hope you can calm yourself in the Lord, and still reach out to the undeserving. Some you can shake off your shoes. Some will become your close friends.

Reminds me of the term "spiritual midgets"

I can relate to the title, since I really don't have much or really any friends, and as I've gotten older I crave solitude.

I can understand being angry. Perhaps pray to God for guidance and he will lead you to a welcoming, faithful congregation.

I do not have many friends either, as a lot of people may be worldly, focus on themselves, or might be lukewarm, though I am not the judge.

2 Timothy 4:3 (ESV): "For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions."

The term "cafeteria" suggests that these believers are approaching their faith like they would a buffet line, taking what they want and leaving behind what they don't.
