Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Pastor Smith’s prison sentence, while significant, does not come close to the lifetime of trauma his victims will have to endure. But I hope knowing that Smith will likely spend the rest of his life in federal prison gives them some peace of mind that he won’t be able to abuse others. Far too often, and unacceptably so, we are unable to obtain justice for children sexually abused in Indian Country. But justice was achieved here, and it would not have occurred without the bravery of our victims or the tenacity of our federal partners and prosecutors, for which I am grateful.

Smith was the pastor of a local church in Lame Deer, Montana, on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. During his time on the reservation, he and his wife hosted other children from the community. In around 2021 and 2022, four girls, identified as Jane Does 1, 2, 3, and 4, disclosed being sexually abused by Smith between 2017 and 2020 when they were staying or living at Smith's home.

[The victims were under 12.]

Man, so many pervert pastors who ignore God's teachings on respecting others. This stuff is so disgusting, what these grown men do to children. I am not going to summarize this article, cos U.S Attorney Jesse Laslovich summed this gross situation up well "Pastor Smith’s prison sentence, while significant, does not come close to the lifetime of trauma his victims will have to endure. It's always a pastor who makes the headlines for child abuse here. Never a doctor, or teacher, or cop etc.

More women accuse Christian chiropractor of sexually assaulting them during appointments​

Court documents reveal that several of these victims told investigators that they grappled for long periods of time over Byrd’s violation of their bodies, unable to fully comprehend what he’d done to them. Some of the women said they’d trusted Byrd due to him presenting himself as “a Christian Chiropractor” who even prayed with patients before sessions.

This belief in being treated by a fellow Christian made some of the women feel they were in safe, moral hands — only to later find themselves frozen in shock when his hands began to stray...

“He was a Christian, or so he said, we talked about it,” one victim said. “Doesn’t compute, right?”

One victim even said Byrd inserted his finger into her during one of her appointments. She said she was too afraid to say anything, knowing Byrd from church circles and knowing he was “prominent in the church.”
