  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Looks kinda funky outside....

Almost like it's fixing to rain. :) Like looking through smoked glass.

Good and dark inside the house, though, I'll tell you that! :)
It was darker in the house than it was outside, lol.

I supposedly had 97% totality but to be honest, other than a "suspicious" tint all around that made it look like I was looking through sunglasses, I was not marveled at what I saw. I guess I wasn't enough in the path, but you'd think that 97% would be pretty dark, given that the clear sky would be the perfect environment for this occasion - no, looked like daytime to me, just a little off. I'm glad that I was able to at least be around for it, or else I would have been what-iffing.

The birds here got spooked quick. Insects were confused and the frogs started singing.
The cats and the dog got pretty wiggy; they all kept going to the windows or glass doors and looking out at the odd color of the light. The dog had her ears up and kept cocking her head....she was pretty puzzled.

I didn't think much of it. It was about 2.35am here and I just slept through it.

One big yawn.
I may be misunderstanding something. You wouldn't have been able to see it at 2:35 a.m. anyway. This was a solar eclipse, not a lunar one.

It was 100% totality for about 4 minutes here in Indy. It was much brighter outside than I expected. In the 20-30 minutes leading up to totality it just looked kind of odd outside. Something different than cloud cover. Hard to explain. But still not dark. At totality it looked like late evening basically. It was never completely dark. Street lights came on, birds got quiet, insects got weird. The prophecies and conspiracies are way more entertaining and interesting than the eclipse was.
