It definitely shows the potential dangers of foreign owned apps and the dangers of social media in general.
Kids were threatening representatives lives as well as their own, the phone lines of Congress were blown up with calls from middle school aged children.
It did manage to completely unite lawmakers however. That's something nearly impossible to do... The bill passed with a 50-0 vote.
It does make you wonder where parents are today though in their kids lives. I really think there's a problem and this shows it clearly with social media and children.

I feel so sorry for the kids. It's not their fault that TicTok is Chinese owned, and it has become a huge part of their lives. I grieve for the kids in so many ways! It's the adults who pack their heads with so many bad ideas. Happened to my generation with the Hippie culture ideas brought on by adults, and what's being thrown their way these days is absolutely appalling!

Tiktok is a blight to north America. The way it throttles intelligent content in North America but enhances it in china; then pushes nonsense to our kids.

I have an uncle, one who was much younger than my dad, and my uncle went to Berkeley and my dad called him a hippie all the time after that..
