Is there any particular reason the President should meet with him instead of the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection or the Deputy Commissioner of Custom and Border Protection? Those are all above him in the executive branch hierarchy.

Yes, this is an international disaster causing huge increased in human trafficking and other crimes. Joe Biden maligned the border patrol with his fake accusations of whipping immigrants, he should have apologized and met with many of the border patrol if he was truly interested in curbing the problems. Joe needs to remember that he works for them and the rest of the American people. It seems consistent with Joe only visiting bordering areas where there is little activity.

Yes, I seem to recall that the time commonly known as the “transition period” was notably lacking vigor between the 45th President’s Administration and the one that Biden was putting together.

Joe issued all of those border orders during his first 100 days, and right away his administration pulled the border con on the American people
