I'm skeptical about man-made food or preservatives and I agree with Williams. I am lucky enough to have farmer's markets in my small community. I believe "man-made" is the major cause of illnesses today. Even the USA's organic laws favor corporations compared to the EU, we still have known carcinogens in our foods that the EU has blacklisted.

""I watch all the chemicals that are put in meats today, and everything else. We have more and more people going straight to the farm and buying stuff, from their meats to their vegetables. They actually know what is in it. It's not altered in any way," said Williams."

Skepticism is fine. I question the necessity of making it a crime to produce or distribute though - we generally only do that for products that are demonstrably harmful (narcotics, primarily). Other restrictions on products are generally regulatory in nature, not criminal.

FYI. I don't know about the laws down the US. I know you guys seem to champion and LOVE deregulation.

Up here in Canada, we are aware of what is in our meat whether its straight from farm or through the chain. Our govt. enforces our regulations.
That said, there ARE products advertised as "seasoned" that are really just injected with salty soil water to increase their bulk. They're gross and they are cheap.
