It is alleged that Fulton County DA Willis hired a private lawyer who lacked prosecution experience and has paid him over $600,000 in legal fees. It is also alleged that the money was used for the two lovers to take a cruise vacation.

There's probably enough there to warrant some sort of investigation into professional misconduct or conflicts of interest, but it's laughable to think that the defendants are somehow harmed by this. If anybody would be harmed, it'd be the state of Georgia. In the worst case scenario, Willis hired an incompetent prosecutor and wasted state funds, which would do nothing but help the defense.
