Honestly I don't know. Nor do I know what the results should be.

I know when you join the military you become state property for all intents and purposes. Religious freedom in the military isn't the same as for the civilian population - nor should it be.

This means - in my assessment - the military can command people to become vaccinated - especially as is helpful for the position.

Taking a couple antibiotics prior to potential exposure to anthrax and things like that we don't blink an eye over when the military commands it, for example.

I guess the question is to what extent can the military command?

And, to what extent someone in the military can refuse...

I'm honestly not sure these cases should win...

If I was them I'd take the dishonorable and explain it to potential employers. I wouldn't fight to create a military that you can't trust to follow orders when the going gets tough.

I'm not vaccinated and if I was in their shoes would've been in the same boat because I would have stood against being vaccinated all the way through dismissal - but I am also against taking the odd exception and trying to make rules around it when it's not likely to occur again. That's how liberal societies become liberal and the last thing we need is a liberal military.

But I guess I don't know a lot about the laws surrounding this either. It's a curiosity how the court will rule.
