I think people that don't have primary school-aged children just don't know how ubiquitous it has become. It almost feels like publishers are routinely asking children's authors, "OK, but can you put a trans character in there somewhere?"
Most teachers I know MIGHT read three or four of these books outside of pride week. I teach in a K-9. I have children 9 and 14. My younger goes to to a christian school and my elder does not. Neither of them have been "forced to" or frankly been offered to read any of the books you folks seem to feel are in mass hysteria mode across all of society.
Use religion as justification to get children to believe anything.
Ubiquitous means it's all over the place ie schools, children's tv shows, books, toys etc.
Why do you assume this idea was "implanted"? Why do you reject the very idea that they came to this realization all on their own?
Gender identity is subjective, while race and species aren't. So the two issues aren't really comparable.
A significant reason for that, it seems to me, is awareness. As people hear about other's experiences, if they've had similar ones, it may make them feel less alone, and more likely to actually talk about these feelings that other parts of society claim are wrong or false.
But, and let's be TOTALLY CLEAR here. Schools aren't "Flooded" with it. They have a few posters up, they talk about it openly and they say "it's okay".
Journalism isn't really necessary. Simply watching all the footage available is enough. Like watching a school board meeting where a parent is reading out loud from one of the books given to school kids, that's so sexually obscene they stop the parent from continuing. Or all the footage of lootings and carjackings etc. Or all the footage of downtown areas filled with junkies. Coupled with what I see for myself as a downtown resident. And the cops doing little about it, because they've had so many restrictions placed on them.
Nope being transgender/genderfluid/nonbinary etc is now a part of the curriculum. It's gone too far to deny it any longer, you need to move into the "so what?" position.
How, exactly? What specific parts of the curriculum involve trangender or related issues? Do they cover them in math class?
Some evidence or details would help us know what you're talking about here.
