  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is the Biden Administration's Justice Department Above the Law?

The U.S. district judge who granted an injunction barring several federal agencies from various types of communication with social media companies denied the Justice Department’s motion to put that injunction on hold.

The Washington Times exclusively reported, however, that whistleblowers at the FBI told the House Judiciary Committee that bureau leadership has ignored the judge’s order and has not sent out any guidance or directives to its rank-and-file employees on steps to abide by the court’s injunction.

To answer the op's question - No. It's not clear how the 1st post would even begin to support the title...

The DOJ will appeal to the Fifth Circuit...which is legal....

Asking for a stay is legal.
Appealing to the 5th Circuit is legal.
None of the DOJ's activities suggest it is "above the law".

Yes, it was denied.
We'll see what the 5th Circuit has to say about it.
In the meantime, the DOJ has done nothing to suggest they are "above the law".
Business as usual after a judge ordered an injunction isn't above the law?

The DOJ is complying with the Judge's decision.
Asking for a stay is a legal process, and frankly, expected in cases like this.

Do you understand how the legal process works?

Whistleblowers: FBI leaders blow off judge’s ruling against Biden’s social media censorship

Several FBI whistleblowers told the House Judiciary Committee on Monday that the bureau’s leaders failed to take steps to abide by a U.S. District judge’s temporary injunction against the Biden administration working with social media companies to censor speech.

According to the disclosures, the FBI usually would immediately disseminate information and provide training when the federal judiciary issues new legal guidance or directives.

The information typically would come in email alerts, the immediate circulation of training materials and official guidance from FBI headquarters in Washington.

But when U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty of Louisiana granted the injunction against government-coordinated censorship on social media, FBI Director Christopher A. Wray and his lieutenants never took steps to comply, according to several FBI agents who provided separate disclosures to Congress.

Yes.
Do you understand the DOJ has a legal right to ask the 5th Circuit (or even the USSC) to review the judge's decision not to grant a stay?

Yes. Do you understand that the injunction stands until it might be overturned?
