  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel told employees in a new memo about their constitutional and statutory right to make protected disclosures to Congress.
House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith on Saturday said that previous communications by the agency to employees may have had a “chilling effect” on whistleblowers, as they did not tell them that their rights included sharing concerns directly to Congress.

A recent letter from attorneys for Hunter Biden, Mr. Smith noted, may have had a similar effect for asking whether it was appropriate for these employees to approach Congress with their concerns.

Two agents who were working on Hunter Biden's case, blew the whistle. They were subsequently taken off the case, and barred from promotion.

This isn’t “standard operating procedures”?
You know, a normal, rational, administrative act to separate the “accused” from their accusers.

Being whistleblowers tells the bosses that they have workers disgruntled by the way this case is being run, and went outside the “usual channels” for which these sorts of disagreements are dealt with.

A “quick fix” is to assign the whistlers “other work” where they might fit in better, being the competent professionals they’re being paid to be.

This is “normal”.
