A White House scheduling email sent to then-Vice President Joseph R. Biden ahead of a call with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was also sent to his son Hunter who was serving on the board of a Ukrainian energy firm looking to escape a corruption probe.

In the call, the elder Mr. Biden urged Mr. Poroshenko to continue reforming Ukraine’s prosecutor general office. It’s unclear whether Hunter Biden was involved in the call outside of getting an email alert about it.

The timing of the call, however, coincides with Hunter Biden‘s $1 million-a-year job on the board for Burisma, which allegedly hired him to help dodge charges from the Ukrainian prosecutor general.

The White House scheduling email was sent on May 26, 2016, from Mr. Biden‘s assistant, John S. Flynn. It was disclosed by the National Archives in response to a Freedom of Information Request and mined by an online FOIA sleuth who gave it to The Washington Times.

One of the Biden family’s closest business associates told the FBI that President Biden met several times with Chinese energy company executives on behalf of his son Hunter.

The meetings started when Mr. Biden was vice president in the Obama administration and continued as he prepared to launch his 2020 White House run, according to the associate, Rob Walker.

Mr. Walker’s statements to the FBI shot holes in Mr. Biden’s steadfast denials that he had any knowledge or involvement in his son’s lucrative foreign business deals.

The FBI interviewed Mr. Walker as part of a tax fraud investigation of the president’s son. Mr. Walker provided crucial details that put the president physically in the middle of his son’s business dealings.

A second business associate, Devon Archer, is set to cooperate in July with House lawmakers investigating the Biden family’s foreign business deals, a source told The Washington Times.

Although, once again with right wing sites, the email is not there, and their links take you to other links within their org having nothing to do with content of the specific story. They do provide a blurb, and It does say this:

“Boss — 8:45 a.m. prep for 9 a.m. phone call with Pres Poroshenko. Then we’re off to Rhode Island for infrastructure event and then Wilmington for UDel commencement. Nate will have your draft remarks delivered later tonight or with your press clips in the morning,”

There are two bits of information. The phone call, and then Biden's schedule for the remainder of the day. Poroshenko and VP Biden were on the same page come rooting out Ukrainian corruption. I am not sure what the "scoop" here is, yet I wonder if the WashTimes were just as alarmed when the very next POTUS admin cleared the path by removing the US Ambassador who fought against Ukraine corruption, so they themselves could actually try to corrupt Ukraine.

You’re surprised that an email was sent to one of the directors (on the board of directors) about an action that Vice-President Biden was fixin’ to do?

Honestly, the email could just as easily been to let Hunter know that Joe was going to be in Delaware for personal reasons.

Well the OP’s article does inform us:

The scheduling email from Mr. Flynn provided both Mr. Biden and Hunter Biden with the details for the vice president’s upcoming trips to Delaware and Rhode Island as well as the call to Mr. Poroshenko.

Maybe if Mister Flynn had just sent three emails we wouldn’t being seeing this “story”?
