In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. The Two Witnesses Are Raised To Heaven And "The Same Hour" is the great earthquake as the 2nd woe is complete

"Yes" the 3rd woe is the 7th Angel/Trump that comes "Quickly" (The End)

"No" gap of days exist's between the 2nd/3rd woe below as many claim

"Yes" Revelation 11:18 is the "Final Judgement" (The End)

(The Time Of The Dead, That They Should Be Judged)

Revelation 11:12-18KJV

12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15 And the seventh angel sounded;
and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

(When He Shall Begin To Sound)

Revelation 10:7KJV
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

The 3rd woe is the 7th Angel/Trump (The End)
A trumpet was never the woe. 7 Trumpets and 3 woes. There were not 7 woes.

The first woe was the release of the rebel angels loosed from the pit.

The second woe was the army.

The third woe is Satan's Babylonian Empire.

"Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

That is not the 7th Trumpet.
This is the 7th Trumpet:

"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."

The 7th Trumpet is the declaration that all of earth is under the direct kingdom of Jesus as King.

After 3.5 days of the 7th Trumpet, we will find out if the week is split in half or not. In the midst of the week of the 7th Trumpet, a literal 7 days, is when Satan is allowed to cause the abomination of desolation.

The 2 witnesses lay dead for the last half of the week, the 3.5 days on the street of Jerusalem. Those 42 months are in the midst of the week of the 7th Trumpet.

If Satan gets 42 months, then the end is the Battle of Armageddon. If no third woe, then the 7th Trumpet is the end. There will be no AoD nor 42 month long Babylonian Empire with Satan as King.

The 7th Angel sounding is when the 3rd woe is made known, what it is. Find the word "woe" in the text of Revelation following Revelation 11. That will inform you what the 3rd woe to the inhabiters of the earth will be.

Revelation 8:13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Revelaltion 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

It is fairly straightforward. I don't even know why you would argue against it.

A series of seven angels sounding trumpets. The last three of the seven - i.e. five, six, seven introduce the woes to the inhabiters of the earth.

angel five sounding - shows what the first woe will be

angel six sounding - shows what the second woe will be

angel seven sounding - shows what the third woe will be - and the worst to the inhabiters of the earth and sea. Satan cast down to earth having great wrath. The woe he causes lasts the time/times/half time. The first two woes fit within that time/times/haft time period.

No, the 7th Trumpet is the celebration of all kingdoms now belonging to Christ.

The 7th Trumpet does not cause a woe, nor do the 5th and 6th Trumpets.

The woe is caused by God allowing an extension of 42 months for those still in the Lamb's book of life to be beheaded. The woe is not a guarantee for Satan, nor caused by Satan. The woe happens because time is extended for those who will be beheaded. It is a woe, because Satan is involved and allowed to set up his Babylonian empire and the abomination of desolation. The warning in Matthew 24:15 is for those undecided to flee the area around Jerusalem to give them a chance to choose Jesus over Satan without coercion.

The church, the sheep, and the wheat were already removed from the earth in the Seals, Trumpets, and Thunders. The only ones left on the earth will be those beheaded for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Why would Satan want to behead them? That would mean they are spared death and given everlasting life, something Satan is opposed to, not facilitating. You call them martyrs. They are not martyrs. The only way to remain in the Lamb's book of life is to chop one's head off. That is why it is a woe. That is not the ordinary way to come to Christ, yet in those last 42 months, that is the only way to come to Christ.

The first two woes fit within that time/times/haft time period.

No they don't. The first 6 Trumpets are the call to assembly for Israel. We don't know the exact happenings of the 5th and 6th Trumpet, but they still deal with Israel. All we are given is the woes. But notice that John is in keeping with the first 6 Seals. The first four were judgments. The 5th is the church glorified at the rapture. The 6th is the Second Coming.

So the first 4 Trumpets involve judgments, but we are not told what Trumpet 5 and 6 do. We are only told they happen, and they are accompanied by 2 woes. The first 6 Trumpets are over before the 10th chapter. In that chapter John is witness to the 7 Thunders dealing with the wheat and tare harvest. All the information on those events is given in Matthew 13. John could not give his 7 point outline on the Thunders.

Only after the 7 Thunders do we see the 7th Trumpet described. The two witnesses are part of the 7th Trumpet. They witness during the same 42 months as the 3rd woe. We know this because the 7 Thunders are between the 6th and 7th Trumpets and between the 2nd and 3rd woe.

Revelation 11:14 is just a literary point getting us back into the chronological narrative.

"The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly."

The two witnesses were not part of the 6th Trumpet and 3rd woe. They are part of the parenthetical explanation of the 7th Trumpet.

Revelation 7:1-8 explains those going through the Trumpets in contrast to a scene in Paradise. Those sealed will be with Jesus on the earth during the Trumpets. They are mentioned before the chronological narrative in beteeen the 6th and 7th Seal. So with Revelation 10, 11, and 12. These are parenthetical explanations between the 6th and 7th Trumpets. 12 is after the main point of the 7th Trumpet in chapter 11, but is explaining the 3rd woe which then extends from 13 to 19. So this is the 7th Trumpet:

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

The 3rd woe is Revelation 13, 17, and 18. Revelation 16 are the vials poured out during the 3.5 days the 2 witnesses lay dead in Jerusalem. Notice again the first 4 vials are judgments. The 5th and 6th vials facilitates the end and the gathering of all that is left of humanity to Armageddon.

The 7th vial earthquake is the same one mentioned in Revelation 11 when the two witnesses are raised to life and ascend into heaven. Yes the city can be divided both into 10 parts and 3 parts. Jerusalem is not physically destroyed. It will be the same way it was when Jesus changed things up at the 6th Seal.

"And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven."

"And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath."

One view is from the perspective of the 2 witnesses and their ministry. The other is the destruction of Satan's Babylonian Empire. The 2 witnesses are not a part of the first 2 woes, and the times, time, and a half are not about the first 2 woes either. 3.5 years which is a time, times, and a half is a fixed time period. It either happens or does not happen. It is not in conjunction with any other period of time. It is certainly not the second half of a 7 year period. It is an extension of God's grace in the midst of week of days of the 7th Trumpet. Revelation 10:5-7

"And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."

The 7th Trumpet is the end of time, the 70 weeks. They are already accomplished at the 7th Trumpet. There is literally no time left in the countdown of Daniel 9 when the 7th Trumpet sounds. The verse states "in the days of the". Many say that is days "leading up to" the 7th Trumpet.

But it is in the midst of this week of the 7th Trumpet, that time is extended. Not prior to, nor a time leading up to the 7th Trumpet. The 7th Trumpet does not sound for 7 years, which are split in half. The 7th Trumpet does not even start to sound until after the 7 Thunders. The 7 Thunders are the days leading up to the 7th Trumpet. The 7th Trumpet sounds for 7 days and probably 8 days, plus the 42 months given to Satan which splits the week in half.

There were two other 8 day periods of time important to Israel. The well known one was Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday. That was the physical enactment of the same Covenant mentioned in Daniel 9:27. So it is appropriate that the same Covenant is confirmed by Jesus during the days of 7th Trumpet. And yes, Satan's days will be short. Only about 3.5 days to be exact. But if extended for 42 months, still not long considering other lengths of time. The third 8 day week was the marching and blowing of the trumpets at the walls of Jericho. Also an event involving trumpets.

Jesus was cut off in the midst of the 70th week. Jesus fulfilled the Messiah part in the first half and will complete the Prince part at the Second Coming. The Atonement Covenant was more than just a 7 year covenant, so Daniel 9:27 makes no sense as being the 70th week as many interpret their eschatology. The Atonement Covenant was in force from the foundation of the world. The Atonement Covenant was not limited to just the last 1993 years, nor a future 7 year period.

Gabriel is not talking about a failed treaty between humans nor between God and humans. Gabriel is not talking about Antiochus Epiphanes and that AoD. All the verses in Daniel 9:23-27 Deal with a promise to Israel directly and the Lamb's book of life indirectly. Revelation is directly talking about the Lamb's book of life, and the 7th Trumpet is indirectly referring to Daniel 9. The 70 weeks is a specific time frame, and that time frame is declared over at the 7th Trumpet. Also, the 6,000 year punishment of Adam's disobedience is over at the 7th Trumpet. No one will exist in Adam's dead corruptible flesh during the Millennium. Yet those 42 months only happen in the midst of the sound of the 7th Trumpet.

The 7th Trumpet does not cause a woe, nor do the 5th and 6th Trumpets.
The 3 trumpets do not cause a woe, but they signal a woe coming.

The third woe is Satan having great wrath - spanning a time/times/half time. The entire second half of the seven years basically.

The first and second woes will take place in the second half, but neither has the duration that the third woe has of a time/times/half time..

No, the 7 angels sounding their trumpets signal judgments... that affect the earth broadly, not just Israel.

Tim, what does the text say in Revelation 12:12 ?

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
