It appears, like other recent investigations, it is long on allegations and short on actual evidence, with not even much in the way of criminality in most of those allegations.

For example, the "Clinton Plan" it refers to as "intelligence" -- but never provides any evidence that such a plan existed. In fact, the report notes that individuals from the Clinton campaign had no knowledge of such as "plan," with one claiming it was "ridiculous." The one time he tried to bring charges on this "intelligence," not only did no one confess to such a plan (to prevent their own trial, what some, such as the OP, claimed would happen) but the case failed -- and most legal experts found it ludicrous the case were ever filed.

It amazes me how Republicans complained about the various "nothing burgers" that the Left claimed about Trump, but then they appear to be doing the exact same things.

It reminds me of this case I read about once where a small town prosecutor believed that some group of people were involved in ritual sacrificing of human beings. They searched the property and dug up a couple of bones. They turned out to be pig bones left over from a barbecue or something. The investigation went on and on and on but they couldn't find any evidence at all of any human sacrifices or anything remotely resembling it. During the investigation one of the prosecutors told someone else "the lack of evidence is what proves the whole thing".

That's what happens when someone gets something stuck in their head and nothing will convince them of anything otherwise. They start seeing things that aren't there. I would expect hat kind of thing from Barney Fife but not from the FBI.

The report is chilling. So many people should have been indicted. The Russian collusion hoax was fabricated by Democrats and the Hillary Clinton campaign. There was ZERO evidence for the FBI to pursue it, they didn't even bother to check the databases of other intelligence agencies and they went right after TRUMP again with ZERO evidence. The FBI did everything they could to help Hillary's campaign and just the opposite with Trump. A complete violation of the law. Two senior FBI officials, Peter Strxok and Lisa page even texted each other as to how they would stop Trump from becoming president. With no indictments for blatant interference in an election and lying to a FISA court, hopefully the Republicans will take drastic efforts to defund the FBI. The media too was in on the hoax, the NY Times and Washington Post still haven't returned their Pulitzers received for reporting a complete lie. EVERY American should be outraged.

When did they go after TRUMP with "zero evidence?" Every investigation that I can recall always stated that Trump was not a target of the investigation. Additionally, all the Russia investigations were run by Republicans, that I can think of; the House, the Senate, the DoJ/Mueller (who reported to Trump appointed Rosenstein). Not to mention, for "ZERO evidence," how did Mueller get 8 convictions? There was so much "ZERO evidence" that Republicans (including in the House and Senate) felt the need to open investigations.

I'm sorry, the Durham investigation was Trump wanting revenge for the Russia investigation into his campaign, was partisan all the way through, and came up with zero evidence of any organized wrongdoing, by the FBI or anyone else. Durham's idea of a "Clinton Plan" has zero evidence to support it, the one time he tried to indict someone for their role in the supposed plan he could not get close to a conviction. And now, because Durham completely failed to find any evidence, the "party of law enforcement" wants to remove funding from law enforcement to punish those who, per the evidence, did nothing wrong.

The special counsel's examination also revealed senior FBI personnel "displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor toward the information they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities."

"Neither U.S. law enforcement nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation," the special counsel found.

Durham said there was "significant reliance on investigative leads" provided or funded by Trump's opponents.

Respectfully, you are misunderstanding the report and the events. Look at the timeline. The DNC was hacked in 2015 through 2016.

The Durham report claims that it was a Russian intelligence analysis that was making the claim that the Hillary campaign was intending to tie Trump to Putin and to the hacking of the DNC in late July 2016. The Durham investigation turned up no conclusive evidence that the Russians were correct.

• In late July 2016, U.S. intelligence agencies obtained insight into Russian intelligence analysis alleging that U.S Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had approved a campaign plan to stir up a scandal against U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump by tying him to Putin and the Russians' hacking of the Democratic National Committee. We know that, typically if they are Democrats there are no indictments. Every once in a while they throw someone under the bus when they have to.
That gets to the heart of the problem, unelected bureacrats are using the power of the federal government to impose their wishes on the people. They are using taxpayer funded resources for political purposes, and yes we know there are no indictments. I have made this point before about due process, every individual should be treated the same under the law. That means if a pro-life group blocks a freeway you give them the same sentences as you would if Black Lives Matter was blocking the freeway. We are way past that. To save our Republic in the current situation and with many people thinking violations of law are just fine if it supports their political views, the Congress is going to have to slash the funding of every rogue agency.

So is Durham, despite Trump always getting the "best and brightest" to work for him, completely incompetent? If you "know" all this then why didn't Durham and why didn't he indict people for it?
