While most American eyes were on Manhattan yesterday, an election of significant consequence was held in Wisconsin. While the race was non-partisan, Janet Protasiewicz was favored by Democrats and progressives over conservative Dan Kelly. Her election shifts the balance on the court from conservatives to liberals and will likely have ramifications in 2024 in case there are challenges to outcomes in the state. The court is likely to hand down decisions on abortion and gerrymandering.

Most importantly, in my opinion, Kelly was a Donald ally who participated in the fake electors scheme. The win by Protasiewicz is a repudiation of underhanded tactics like that.

Defeating an election denier is not something to repent about.
I didn’t bring that up. However, abortion in infinitely worse than denying an election.

It will lead to that states rights decision the SCOTUS ruled.
And that appears to be the support of abortion. And Christians should be opposed, and not celebrate this like it’s a good thing.

Yes, Christians support abortion. They support a lot of things that are contradictions. There is nothing new under the sun; as I read somewhere.

I know that there are Christians who sinfully support abortion. They need to repent.

FYI, in "SCOTUS" the "OTUS" means "of the United States". I think you rather mean a "SCoWis" or maybe "SCOW" Moo.
Most importantly, in my opinion, Kelly was a Donald ally who participated in the fake electors scheme.

It is my undestanding that he was the "legal mind" behind their strategy in Wisconsin. I wonder if that constitutes part of a federal conspiracy to impersonate federal officials (electors) and create false documents (electoral certificates). Perhaps we will find out soon...
The win by Protasiewicz is a repudiation of underhanded tactics like that.
We can only hope.

by far the most important election of the year
==========
If the Republican had won, they would have won the electors in the 2024 election, with electors decided by the legislature.

Does this state still want an independent, impartial judiciary that will fairly and dispassionately base its decisions on the facts presented before it? Or does it want to know years in advance how the most significant issues of the day will be decided?
Janet Protasiewicz, the ultra-liberal Milwaukee County Circuit Court judge who won Tuesday’s Supreme Court primary, offers Wisconsin that choice. She is running not to be a justice, but to destroy the very concept of justice.
As it has been understood for thousands of years of human civilization, justice is the “ethical, philosophical idea that people are to be treated impartially, fairly, properly, and reasonably by the law and by arbiters of the law.” If those arbiters—judges—cannot be impartial or, far worse, refuse to be impartial, then by definition there is injustice.
Put another way, “the complete independence of the courts of justice is peculiarly essential to a limited Constitution” and free society. Alexander Hamilton noted in Federalist No. 78 that the “independence of the judges is equally requisite to guard the Constitution and the rights of individuals from the effects of those ill humors, which the arts of designing men, or the influence of particular conjunctures, sometimes disseminate among the people.”
Oh boy, what good news a hyper partisan activist judge seemingly incapable of an unbiased position. Just what the people of Wisconsin need.

The other choice was to have the legislature determine the electoral votes in presidential elections.

Daniel Kelly gives vitriolic concession speech

“I wish that in a circumstance like this I would be able to concede to a worthy opponent, but I do not have a worthy opponent to which I can concede. This was the most deeply deceitful, dishonorable, despicable campaign that I have ever seen run for the courts,” he said, calling Protasiewicz “a serial liar.”

I'll give him a golf-clap for actually conceding. A step above many conservative candidates.

I'm not quite sure why I should care about the opinion of the MacIver Institute and their rather slated editorial. From what I can see, they would think anyone to the left of Justice Thomas or Alito to be "dangerous."
