This is a secular cult aimed at sexualizing children. Hopefully this culture will wake up from this madness.
We have seen it affect our family. An X-cousin was told by the school they they could be the opposite gender that they were born, and if they were that would be ok. The child ran with it. A couple days later the child actually kissed someone of the same gender and got suspended.
Insanity. They have completely lost their minds.
I tell people to keep a list of the crazies in authority who perpetrated this madness. Who knows... there may be prosecution of some of these people especially if the activity was done without or against the parents wishes. I am watching the news for the first cases to hit the courts and heads start rolling. Rightly so.

That's honestly horrifying.

I remember when I was a kid and told I could "be anything I wanted to be". I wanted to "be" something different every 5 minutes. James Harriot (All Creatures Great and Small) made me want to go into veterinary medicine, I liked cooking and baking so I gave a career in that some thought - even took French in school to prepare to train in France if need be. Watch a television show and Lawyer it was!

Is this a widespread problem where you live? Do they have beating rooms in the local churches where the beatings are administered? Or are they beating the kids outside and are you seeing this happen? You use the word "obvious." Where? When? Who? A handful of Christian-hating Hollywood movies present this theme, but these are fictional works. I am fairly certain that if such beatings were taking place we would be hearing about them on the nightly news.

I use the comparison.
If you tell a room full of 2nd graders they might be a cow, and if they are, that is ok! Then a number of those kids will go home mooing and demanding hay for dinner. Children are impressionable. This is all about changing culture and establishing a new normal.

But I would push back and argue that your question is either not serious or it belies a poor theology that I doubt you apply consistently. There are some sects who eschew all forms of medical intervention - AFAIK, at least in part for the reason you describe (i.e. hubris, God's plan). I don't recall you ever claiming to be a member of one of those sects, so, if my memory regarding your religious affiliations is correct, then it would stand to reason that you think that God can make mistakes, or at the very least, that he permits the development of some conditions which we are permitted to correct.

The reason is what I perceive is your faulty logic in two major areas of thought.

First - I don't equate surgically repairing a cleft palate - or other birth defect with castrating a child. They are two different things one is based on medical need and the other is based on feelings and emotions.

Second - I don't judge the work of God by physical attributes. Some of the greatest people I know for their relationship with God and their Christ like life don't have the physical attributes we would consider good.

The Word of God said:

Genesis 1: 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

And I believe Him

You're the one who brought up the notion of God making a mistake. If you think that it's improper to look at something like a birth defect and ascribe it to God making a "mistake," then I would agree with you. I would also apply that to trans people.

The term "non Binary" is less than 25 years old - - the classification began in Europe around 2015 - IOW the classification and term were not even a reality until recently.

And no - somebody with male parts (DNA) saying "I should be a girl" - does not 'jive' with the verse cited. That is no place in scripture and no amount of juxtaposing will make it fit. God made us spirit soul and body. He does not need a seven year old to correct a 'mistake'.

IMHO - the whole issue is a group of Science Deniers (Biology), who trade established scientific fact for social constructs. But that is only my opinion.

Again, I'll relate a personal story -

My second oldest son, when he was five decided he liked wearing dresses and playing with dolls etc. His sisters had great fun braiding his hair, painting his nails etc.

We treated it for what it was - he was playing. It lasted until he was seven or so and then sports kicked in and what do you know! The less attention he got - the less interested he was. then lost all interest. Today he is married with three kids of his own.

At his wedding we did a slide show of him growing up, including his dress phase and one time when he was 12 or 13 where did did it again. Everyone got a laugh!

If that happened now, there would be someone at his school trying to 'counsel' him without our permission or knowledge in some cases.

That - IMHO - is insanity.

According to the verse, he created males and females. Why does that not jive with somebody saying that all of their parts are consistent with that verse, but all of their parts aren't consistent with each other?

If the verse had that God created people Red and Blue, and some people had bodies that said Red with brains that said Blue, switching their bodies to match what their brains said would still fit within the Red-Blue dichotomy, would it not?

And how does your interpretation of that verse account for people who are intersex? For them, their bodies are both Red and Blue. Do they not exist? Did God actually make a mistake with them?
