Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, a Republican, said Gardner must step down by noon Thursday, or he'll try to remove her from office.

“Instead of protecting victims, Circuit Attorney Gardner is creating them," Bailey said in a statement. "My office will do everything in its power to restore order, and eliminate the chaos in St. Louis caused by Kim Gardner’s neglect of her office.”

Because the victim is young and an athlete, more people can relate to this case, and the article says even some Democrats are calling for her resignation. We keep trying to tell people that woke policies have consequences, people suffer and die because of these policies. Please look beyond what party a person is endorsed by when you vote.

Gardner, in a statement Wednesday night, said Riley was released on bond in August “against the state's wishes.” She said her office sought a bond hearing in January but got no response from the court.

“Judges have the sole authority to determine the bond conditions of a defendant,” Gardner said. “Bond violations and decisions do not solely rest on the shoulders of prosecutors. In this matter, prosecutors asked on several occasions for higher bonds, and those requests were denied."

I thought this was going to be someone out on bond for DUI or other car related offense. I don't have much sympathy for the 21 year old driver, but I don't think the prosecutor is to blame because he was out on bail. He had not been convicted of any crime at the time of the accident.

Of course, this is awful for the athlete, but the unlicensed driver is solely to blame.

There isn't a single one where that isn't the case. It can be the most innocuous of events and you will find some way to spin it to promote your right wing views or denigrate anyone else's that you consider are to the left of yours.

According to the article, the DA is claiming that the judge sets the bail terms. Even the driver’s old lawyer has vouched for her:

Riley's former attorney agrees with Gardner. In a blog post, attorney Terence Niehoff wrote that an assistant prosecutor “did bring to the Court's attention Riley's numerous bond violations,” but judges allowed him to remain free.

According to the article, this DA is the same one who tried to prosecute the former governor for taking naked pics of his girlfriend, so it seems to me that there’s more than a little bad blood between her and the MO Republicans that could be fueling these complaints.

The perpetrators shirk repsonbility and try to put the blame on others. Why even the other night CBS was trying to find a way to frame President Trump for the train accident. The anti-police/soft on crime agenda has resulted in many many victims of violence. But there are people willing to speak out against the crazy wokeness.

You posted an op that implied that somehow Democrats were at fault in some way. That position has been completely dismantled by any number of posters. You have been called out on using the event as a political football. As you do with all events that pop up in whatever rightwing outlets you read. And you spend literally zero time in in even the most cursory investigation into them before posting.

And your response? Completely ignore what you've been told and give the usual right wing rant that must be in line for Non Sequitur Of The Week. Aka the Pidgeon Defense. Point out to someone that they are undeniably wrong and the response is 'Ooh, look. Over there. It's a pidgeon'.
