When a good man dies, an ordinary man, not God, would you mourn him?

History has shown humanity some good men, mere men, not God incarnate, but just men (and women) who have been gentle, honest, generous, willing to die for what is right yet never willing to kill or harm. If you knew of such a man or women would you mourn their passing?

Yes. Is there a reason I shouldn't?
No, it is good to mourn the passing of the good.

I had in mind, Gandhi as I was writing.

Then it struck me, what of Buddha, Nelson Mandela, and others.

Being Christian I was wondering if my brothers and sisters thought the same.

If I knew them personally, was involved with them, and loved them, I would mourn the loss of a loved one.
