  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If the national anthem didn't say what so proudly we hailed it would be a more perfect union. And last time I checked the constitutions of the United States begins "we the people of the United States in order to create a more perfect union." Meaning to me it is the highest law of this land of the United States to correct and imperfect error when it is identified as sin or a problematic that has a more perfect solution. So therefore it has become obvious to me the God opposes that pride and as long as we sing of this error we are in imperfect sin. A more perfect solution would be to say what so graciously we were humbled. So we the people of the United States of America at the christians forums in this date of January 12 2023 heby move to change the words of the national anthem so that our country no longer abides is sin.

All who agree say yea all who disagree say nae.

Firstly, I'm not sure what the Star Spangled Banner has to do with a corrupt music industry. There was no music industry around in 1814 when the anthem was written.

Secondly, if you're speaking of the word "proudly" in the verse you reference, which you appear to be, then perhaps you should read the history of the anthem. You might discover the deeper meaning behind the words.

If you're looking to change wording in songs, consider looking at today's modern music, much of which is incredibly bad due to the overriding themes and language.

There is a pride to sin and there is a pride in accomplishments. I can be proud of the house I built or the brake job I did on a automobile w/o it being being sin....
If you want to get technical the word CREATE is blaspheme (per se) .... it elevates yourself equal to or above God .....because only God can create.
Man can make, formulate, assemble (unless it's Ikea), design, build, develop, or construct.....but man cannot create....which is to make something out of nothing.

There is the letter of the law and there is the spirit of the law... In this case the terminology I have chosen supports the spirit. The spirit of the law says God opposes the anthem because of it's imperfection. The letter of the law says we the people of the United States inorder to '''''form'''''' a more perfection union. To me it is obvious the proud pride prix are the cancer that is tearing the country apart. You think proudly because thats the way American educated it children... That education system failed along time ago.

The assertion of pride in and of America comes as a pushback due to those trying to destroy it. What most don't know or forget is ...it is a spiritual battle against the god of this world.
Drawing attention to the bondage of sin when their is none intended nor conceived within this is condemnation (down judgment), and Romans 8 clearly states Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.

Well then it's been corrupt since the beggining and God anger is slow to arouse... And now his wrath is being unleased upon the country because they refuse to humble up..

The US national anthem is a poem written by Francis Scott Key during the War of 1812. I'd recommend doing at least a little bit of research of the context behind that poem.

The US constitution speaks of forming "a more perfect union" because what was attempted before was a gigantic failure, do some reading on the Articles of Confederation. The constitution was drawn up in order to fix the problems of the Articles, but ultimately did away with them entirely; and then on top of that it was amended ten times to enshrine certain rights before the representatives of the colonies signed on board.

Also, none of this has to do with Christianity.

Also, what has any of this to do with a corrupt music industry? I honestly thought this would be a thread about problems within the music industry.

If you can't comprehend the national anthem as the shere shere corruption at the top of the flag pole, you don't understand how Jesus.Christ opposes.the proud, you are blinded by pride.
