Hundreds of accusations against Chicago teachers have arisen including grooming, sexual assault and rape.

I wonder what it was in the Chicago area where teachers felt it was okay to engage in this behavior. While I have had a lot of respect for teachers in the past, this kind of stuff along with all the woke stuff has eroded my confidence in the education system.

What does this have to do with modern sex education? I'm guessing that's your idea of woke. There's always been sexual abuse in Schools, Churches and everywhere. The guilty needs to be prosecuted. Back in the past, sex abuse happen, but was covered up. Thanks to modern laws it's not.

[and] substantiated policy violations in 302 investigations."
In the past four years, only 16 criminal charges have been filed against Chicago Public School employees for sex-related crimes.

[Certainly the goal would be zero cases, but this puts things in better perspective than the screaming headline.]

Since I cannot post specific things in the report (the report only will copy and paste the entire thing) go read the report. The vast majority of the cases were found to be violations of misconduct and Title IX which included inappropriate touching, kissing and sexual comments, texts etc. Even though they were not criminally prosecuted.

If you read the report you will be disgusted by what has occurred.

Don't minimize the incidents by only focusing on criminal charges. That creates the impression that nothing much really happened. When reading the report you will find a LOT of terrible things went on even though they were not criminally prosecuted.

The report from the schools is linked in the article IT is the reliable source. Read the report from the schools and you will see the horrible things that teachers were doing to the kids. Most of them were found to be violations of conduct and Title IX including inappropriate touching, comments, texts and kissing etc which were not charged criminally.

You don't need criminal charges to be pressed to see the terrible inappropriate things the teachers were doing. Read the actual report.

Right, the most widespread case was

Investigation of Systemic Sexual Misconduct at Military Academy (21-00003)
In April 2019, the OIG received complaints about two staff members alleged to have been engaged in sexual abuse of students at a military academy. However, the investigation quickly expanded, with new complaints coming in from anonymous sources, as well as additional allegations against other staff members that were made during interviews with students, graduates, teachers and other school staff.
In the end, the investigation examined allegations related to 29 individuals

The investigation substantiated allegations of violations of other CPS policies against 13 individuals:
o 4 current and former staff members o The former principal
o 4 teachers
o 3 military instructors
o 1 member of the school’s Board of Governors

The investigation found that three individuals engaged in sexual misconduct...

Most of the 13 resigned and have DONOTHIRE in their personnel files.

I know it's Republican-woke to call the military woke nowadays, but I don't think wokeness is the underlying problem.

Perhaps you misunderstood me. This ALONG with wokeness has eroded my confidence. I wasn't trying to say this has been caused by wokeness.

Including the military thing. No this stuff is simply totally inappropriateness and in some cases lawlessness in the part of educators. And being woke has nothing to do with it.

I just am concerned that this stuff is going on in schools.

Yes that was one case. There were many others. This one was particularly egregious. I'm not only concerned about this one, but all the others as well.

I know all about sex education. I've taught my nephews about gay people and Transgender people. I told them to double up on condoms.When they get a girl friend. And make their girlfriend uses Birth control. So she doesn't get pregnant with little screaming brats. That they wouldn't be ready to raise.The mother teaches the pull out method. Which doesn't work at all. In her case. Sex education isn't grooming. And it's very much needed. And has nothing to do with some one raping or molesting a kid. Kids being molested or raped has always happen.

Of all the cases that were opened, about 1700 there were 302 that were substantiated as sexual misconduct. There were 16 of the that were criminal. But 302? That's quite a bit. And I would say that's concerning. That what almost 20%?

I don't think we can minimize that.

I hope you mean to have larger supply of condoms, not to use two at the same time. Using two at the same time increases the risk of them breaking. Do not use two condoms at once.

FYI, you probably want to avoid that. Not a lot of studies on the topic, but the general consensus is that it just causes friction between the condoms, which makes them more likely to tear. At best, it doesn't do anything.

Several things here. What makes you think Chicago is different from other school systems other than they have mandatory annual reporting? I seriously doubt that teachers feel it is okay to engage in this behavior.

While I have had a lot of respect for teachers in the past, this kind of stuff along with all the woke stuff has eroded my confidence in the education system.

Whereas before it was swept under the rug, now it is being dealt with.
