This is why it's more reasonable to believe that Jesus was actually resurrected from the dead than any other explanation. It fully debunks the "Near-Death" theory, the "Hallucination" theory, the theory that the disciples stole Jesus' body, the "Wrong Tomb" theory, and even the "Jesus had an identical twin nobody knew about" theory.

Keeping in mind that we know Jesus rose from the dead because the word of God written states that he did.

First, I believe Jesus was raised from the dead, so don't take me the wrong way.

But, what about the women? One of the earliest, if not the earliest, counters to Christianity was that the disciples stole the body (Matt 28:13). Why can't the women be the culprits...nobody ever considers them? They were present at the scene and certainly had the motive - Jesus had welcomed the marginalized including women and given them a "seat at the table" so to say. They didn't want the movement to end and would go to any lengths to see it continue. Mark 16:3 seems to say they couldn't roll away the stone though....but doth Mark protest too much? Maybe they knew good and well a few of them could roll the stone (taking care of the dead was not exactly something new or unheard of), and so they did and hid his body elsewhere.

Matthew doth protest a little too much too, no? The women couldn't have done it. There were guards at the tomb. Women aren't overcoming Roman guards, for sure.

And in Luke, there's no need for the women to roll away the stone, for it had already been rolled away.

Just playing bad guy for a second. I don't accept my own suggestion here because I don't really know people's motives or capabilities. I only have the data I have. I actually assume Mark, Matthew, and Luke's intentions are good and honest.

The most convincing proof is the death of the disciples.
Hundreds of people witnessed the resurrected Jesus. Many of these, including the apostles, died witnessing to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Why if it was not true? What sane person would give their life for something they knew was not true? Yet die they did, and not quick and painless. Some were crucified. Some torn apart by lions. Some burned alive and even boiled in oil. Their willingness to die for what they knew was true is proof.

Sure, I think that's a good argument. I think James is a really good example. Presumably, based on what I think we know, he changed his mind and followed his brother even if that meant his own death.

Evidently you have not read the accounts.
Roman guards were placed at the tomb for that very purpose.

Sure, thanks for your question. First of all, if all of Jesus' followers were powerless to defeat the guard of Roman soldiers, then there's no chance the women would've been able to do it. Secondly, the motive given is drastically weaker than motives to NOT steal the body. Continuing to oppose the Jews and Romans got them hunted down, physically yanked out of their homes, exiled, executed, etc. Finding an excuse to be tortured and die certainly doesn't make any sense. And as the video says, even if they did steal the body nobody would have believed their testimony anyway. So the only explanation is the one described in the Gospels, which is that the women found the tomb to be empty. They were the first to the scene not because they moved the body themselves, but just because they happened to be the first ones to discover it.

I think you answered this yourself though, so I'm sure there's not much need to convince you.
