The Merriam-Webster On-line Collegiate Dictionary definition of "vain" has four definitions we need to examine. I want to deal with, (1) "worthless", (2) "unsuccessful, useless", (3) "silly", (4) "futile".

Now let us look at THE NAME of the Lord our God.

KJV Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

KJV Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, 8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

KJV John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Father's name is THE WORD! The WORD OF GOD is the entire WORD-VOLUME RECORD of writings He gave to posterity over time. Jesus became THE WORD OF GOD MADE FLESH. Men can violate the 2nd Commandment in any of three ways

1. When men think the Word of God is (1) "worthless", (2) "unsuccessful, useless", (3) "silly", (4) "futile", then they are breaking the second commandment. When the Jews murmured against God doubting His help and power to bring success, they were taking His Word(s) (name) in vain.

2. When men deny certain writings that God knows He gave to His writers calling them non-canonical, apocryphal and pseudepigrapha, they slander part of the WORD-VOLUME RECORD and break the 2nd Commandment. They boldly do this as VAIN AUTHORITIES despite the fact that " I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.", Revelation 5:1-5. There is not a man alive or dead who was ever an "authority" to say which writings are not "authentic". Those who say certain writings are (1) "worthless", (2) "useless", (3) "silly", (4) "futile", are breaking the second commandment.

3. When men say the Word-Jesus did not do ALL that he was born to do and was unsuccessful in ALL he died to do, then they are breaking the 2nd Commandment. Jesus was born to be the Savior of the world and of all men, 1 Timothy 4:10, 1 John 4:14. He died to take away the sins of the world, John 1:29, Isaiah 53:1-5. He said God gave him a commandment that he should not lose one sheep. He specifically said, "None of them is lost but the son of perdition that the scriptures might be fulfilled". Going further he said, "I give unto them eternal life and none of them shall perish", John 10:28. Those teaching a lying doctrine saying most men will be lost and placing most of humanity in hellfire with devils and say Jesus could not and did not remove all sins from men do break the 2nd Commandment. By their doctrine they say Jesus' effort is or was is (1) "worthless", (2) "unsuccessful, useless", (3) "silly", (4) "futile".

You talk about the Archangel Gabriel blowing the trumpet in the END of time! These are some of the things he finds today among all men and the churches by "weighing them all in the balance". If YOU or anyone you know does or teaches any or all of these three considerations, then you break the 2nd Commandment.

KJV Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind (from the Dragon), have taken us away.

KJV Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

KJV Revelation 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

KJV Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

The Archangel Gabriel is THE MAN, the BLACK SON. The following scriptures announce his entry to "trumpet":

KJV Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind (from the Dragon), have taken us away.

KJV Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

KJV Revelation 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Joel 2:10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: 11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come. 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

Any prophetic reference about the sun turning black, or dark, or not shining is a reference for the Archangel Gabriel and his work in the final phase of The Judgment. The black sun refers to THIS SON of God and one of my favorite teachers, Psalm 91:11,14-16, Isaiah 41:17-18, 42:16. Now how many of you know you keep the 2nd Commandment, and the doctrine you teach does not violate any of the 3 definitions of God's name? Congratulations to all of you who pass. Those of you who fail have some work to do. Nothing done here is without purpose. All Heaven is watching this drama and Gabriel is weighing every man and woman who reads these Words. Try and avoid Belshazzar's problem, the handwriting on the wall!

Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
