Good Day,

Louisiana federal judge blocks national COVID vaccine mandate

Snip “ In his decision, Doughty wrote the Biden Administration doesn't have the authority to bypass Congress in issuing such a mandate.

"If the executive branch is allowed to usurp the power of the legislative branch to make laws, two of the three powers conferred by our Constitution would be in the same hands," he wrote. "If human nature and history teach anything, it is that civil liberties face grave risks when governments proclaim indefinite states of emergency.”

Did Ben die of COVID?

I wonder if his "choice to smoke" influenced his death-by-lung-disease

The Death of Benjamin Franklin | Dr. Gabe Mirkin on Health.

================= being quote

Franklin’s Final Disease
After the death of his wife Deborah in 1774, Benjamin lived with his daughter Sarah’s family. Sarah nursed him as his health weakened. He had a long history of lung disease and gout. You know he had gout because of the many pictures of him signing important documents in his bare feet because his feet hurt so much. After coughing almost continuously for many months, he became very short of breath, developed severe pain in one side of his chest that kept him in bed, and then developed a very high fever. As he became progressively more short of breath, he told his daughter that he was suffocating. The horrible pain in one side of his chest that had plagued him for many days went away. Then he got out of bed, and asked for his bed to be made properly so he could have a dignified death. His daughter, Sally, told him that she hoped he would live many years more. “I hope not,” he replied. Shortly afterward, he became short of breath, clutched his side in pain, and passed out. On April, 17, 1790, at eleven o’clock at night, he died with his grandsons William Temple and Bennie at his side. He was 84 years old.

========================= end quote

Maybe he would not have killed himself in that fashion if there had a been a law against smoking...

Would "everyone" be onboard with that 'fix'???

It’s so sad what the elitist left has already done to our country in less than a year. Many of the people who were so misled by our liberal media and thought Trump was so ‘bad’ can see now what ‘bad’ really is. Well, they should be able to see anyway. But, these legalities won’t deter the Biden administration, they’re just proceeding right along with their wining game-plan for all the unsuspecting and clueless, and using the pandemic fear to set us up again for another onslaught of unverifiable mail-in voting for the midterms. And, those who have nothing and unwilling to try, or can’t better themselves, will keep voting for even the promise of being given something, whether they get it or not… over and over again. This the elitist left knows well. They’ll give it all away if they have to, everything but their huge part of course.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
Ben Franklin was a big early proponent of inoculation - a process that the average person at the time was almost entirely ignorant of and extremely skeptical towards.

He apparently thought the risk was worth the obvious benefit.

To play devils advocate, I suspect he might have been against mandatory vaccination on the grounds of personal liberty, no matter how personally he thought vaccination a good idea.

He probably did his own research.

Did Ben die of COVID?

No he did not. Unlike the close to 780, 000 US citizens that lost both their lives and their rights. What a wonderful job the government has done of keeping people safe by infringing upon their rights!

Well the smallpox vax at the time came with a 2% death rate. Given the epidemic nature of small pox, making it mandatory would have been counter productive on many levels.

Coming up next is the dining game plan!

But seriously, we voted out the losing game plan.

Of course! It's hard to imagine why anyone would prefer Trump over Biden. Trump put us into a recession, as is usual for Republicans. Biden got us out, as is usual for Democrats.

Of course, you’re a die-hard Trump hater… a few more months of this craziness under Biden and even the most supportive will be carrying wallet pictures of Trump.
Unlikely.

I prefer presidents who believe in American democracy.

I would crawl through a field of hot lava, then cool off in a vat of radioactive waste to have the privilege of voting against EX President Trump. On his worst day, Joe Biden is twice the President as Trump was on his best day.
