Yep, but for some of the worse off children, education is secondary as health is more important.

Yep, we are fighting a losing battle, but that doesnt mean we should stop. Those children deserve every right to live out their life like we can.

And ignoring medical help because you (well, not you :) ) think that prayer can cure anything and letting them die is utter BS.

:)

Arikay;

Educate those children too so that they can at least learn how to improve their way of life. Food clothing & medicine help to alleviate the immediate, but education helps to reduce it in future.

I am glad that there are organizations out there, and donors as well, who are working together to help out those in need.

But there is one ironic thing in it all - "to try to keep them alive". And yet one day, like everyone else, they too will die. :sigh:

Arikay,

As atheist you may not agree with this, but God has given us a brain and the ability to think logically. I do not agree with people of any religious persuasion who feel that we should not use medicine, or accept transfusions, etc.

For anyone who believes in God - don't you think He would want us to heal the sick?

Although I dont agree with god (so what. :) ) I do agree with the statement.

Unfortunatly there are groups out there who feel they can heal anything with prayer. Unfortunatly they cant.
