Emma, if you look at the bottom left hand corner of any post you have made, there is the word EDIT. Click that, and make any changes you want to make. I don't know for sure, once people have copied what you said previously and reposted it, if that changes when you edit your original post or not.

Hello and welcome to the forums! The number of topics available here can be daunting at first. I find it easier to just click on New Threads and Trending Topics links at the top of the page to see new and active threads (posts). Keep at it, it'll all make sense eventually.

No, it's not private. In order to have a private conversation, you click on the person's name you want to talk with, and you will see a link that says CONVERSATION. I don't know how else to help you. Perhaps reach out to one of the Moderators and they could help you.

I think when people copy something and then repost it, it stays the same even if the original is changed. That's my impression

While quoted text does track the user name, member number, and post number being quoted from, the quoted text is independent of the post it is quoted from. If a post is edited after it has been quoted, the quote remains as it originally was and does not take on any changes, unless the person who quoted it edits their post to update the quoted text.
