To start off, agreed, love is important. What's missing is, love with God of Israel is NOT a emotion. Yes we have that emotion yet think about it, no REALLY, think. What makes you notice love emotionally? What brings that feeling out? Is it a brother or sister feeling their own emotion of love that your emotion of love reacts to? Or is it ACTION!? Jesus Christ died on the cross, that wasn't emotion alone, that was an act of love. You & all people who believe on him emotionally reacts to that action & feels loved! Which brings us to the point of judging (not saying you took this stance.) There's two types, one which is passing a motion for one's action whether it be good or bad; the other is assessing an action of a person, & choosing "say" something good or bad to that person according to their action whether it be good or bad.
Leviticus 19:15
“Ye shall
do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty:
but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.”
King James Version (KJV)
This is a law, where we ought to judge one another by good reasoning. Not pass a motion, to determines one's fate, but to correct them. To do that, one MUST asses, perceive, JUDGE the action & weigh it with the true Judge. ie: If a person talks to you about robbing a bank, before saying anything, what does God the true Judge say about robbing;
Exodus 20:15
“Thou shalt not steal.”
Now at this point
you have the knowledge to judge the person & REBUKE that person, as wisely said & written;
Proverbs 9:8
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
A wise person reacts to a brother who judges him, who asses their actions
by the Bible, not how the feel emotionally.
More,
Proverbs 27:5
Open rebuke is better than secret love.
What you emotionally feel is better left secret rather than what you know according to the Bible that they're are doing is right or wrong. Better is it that you judge your brothers & sisters to correct them, THAT'S LOVE, rather than telling them you love them openly & hide what you see them doing is wrong, what does Paul say;
Titus 3:10
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
Admonition is rebuke, correction, to judge, we are to be with believers of our Lord & Saviour who died for us. We are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Sync back up with one another through corrections when one is wrong. Dismiss judging, & might as well dismiss love also.
What better way to heal our brothers & sisters if it's not to judge? What better way to lift them up if it's not to rebuke? Let us not only compliment our brothers & sisters when they do good, but also when they fall, Christ isn't a friend because he is emotionally influencing mankind, he's a friend because he told us what we were doing wrong, & commanded us to do it right & to follow him. There's many more verses that supports the act of judging, (the right way) one more;
Luke 22:32
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Much rebuke happened among the apostles, yet they never failed to be united with the One gospel.
