Peace in Christ.
Our Savior Jesus Christ has abolished death (rendering it idle now) and has brought life and immortality to light through the good news (the “gospel”).
This is a here-and-now thing and not a “here-after” thing as universally being preached by those who are "perishing" and who have no understanding of the true good news of our Savior.
This gospel (good news) is hid from the eyes of the understanding of those who are “lost”…that is, perishing away in their mortal bodies towards the grave where their mortal bodies eventually end up.
The good news is hid to those who are handling the Word of God deceitfully and have not renounced the hidden things of their dishonesty. They are minding the earthly things: what to eat, what to drink, what to wear as they preach.
The end of those who do such things is the destruction of their mortal bodies so that their spirits may be saved. They suffer loss of their mortal body as they cannot understand the Scriptures because of their covetousness as they preach. They perish because of a lack of His knowledge. They are saved but as through the fire of God's wrath which destroys their mortal bodies. They "perish" from off this earth.
2 Corinthians 4:1-6 KJV
(1) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
(2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
(3) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
(4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
They continue to “preach themselves” and are not the servants for the Lord Jesus.
(5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
(6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
We are not to be “ashamed” of His testimony of this matter. The Son of God comes to give us an understanding by the opening up of the Scriptures to our hearing ears and how we respond to the hearing of His words determines how we are judged.
Some will hear His words and will do good unto eternal life while others will respond with evil in their unbelief or will fall away because of the “persecution” they will receive from their fellow church goers for believing in His testimony.
2 Timothy 1:8-10 KJV
(8) Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
He…the true Jesus who is called Christ…. saves us and calls us with a holy calling.
Many are called but few will be chosen as many will not believe in what they hear the Anointed Jesus saying in this coming time. Those who do believe what He says shall be persecuted by the fellow churchgoers who will not believe but we must patiently endure….not rendering evil for their evil. We must suffer their evil in His righteousness.
The unbelievers will persecute those who will believe and will seek to defend their own denominational “another jesus” who is the “antichrist” and his “another gospel”…one that involves our “righteous works” as done through the handwriting of the church ordinances (statements of faith, church constitutions/bylaws, etc, etc, etc). We are not saved according to our church “works” as decreed in their handwritings of men. This is evident as those who "go to church" and keep the doctrines and commandments of men have all perished away in their mortal flesh to the grave. No mortal flesh is being saved. The flock of the slaughter is perishing without knowledge. The Lord comes with His knowledge so that we may know Him who is true.
(9) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
(10) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
We must strive to enter in at the strait gate when we hear His voice opening up the Scriptures to our understanding.
Luke 13:23-24 KJV
(23) Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
(24) Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
The Lord comes to give us an understanding by the opening up of the Scriptures to our hearing ears. He “opens His mouth” and teaches us. How we respond to that teaching is very important. We are allowed to rejoice in His teachings by the way we respond to the hearing of His words…His teaching of us.
Matthew 5:1-11 KJV
(1) And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
(2) And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
He opens up His mouth to teach us by the opening up of the Scriptures to our hearing ears and “blessed”…that is, HAPPY…. are those who are “poor in spirit”.
The “poor in spirit” are poor in breath….that is, poor in words.
They do not use their breath to speak many words but are quick to hear His words and slow to speak. Those who will be found of Him using few words will be able to rejoice in what He teaches.
They use “little strength” in their words towards what they hear His “opened” mouth speaking. They will not use wrathful words in “strength”….in multiple words. They will be able to enter into the joy (blessed…happy) of the Lord. They will be able to enter in to His understanding.
(3) Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
And the following also describes how we respond to His testimony when He opens up His mouth to teach us. We shall be able to rejoice in what we hear Him saying. We shall be comforted by His words. We will not “laugh” at what He has to say but will change those to mourning in order to be able to rejoice in what we hear Him saying.
(4) Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
(5) Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
(6) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
(7) Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
(8) Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
(9) Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
We shall be persecuted by the “religious” people who will not receive His teachings in joy. They will revile us and persecute us and say all manner of evil against us falsely for His sake.
(10) Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(11) Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Those who have an ear, let Him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches. The “hearing” is how we respond to what we hear the Lord saying in the Spirit of Truth. How we hear is very important.
Revelation 3:6-11 KJV
(6) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
The church in “Philadelphia” (brotherly love) will hear His voice and show love towards those who will speak His words of revealed truth as spoken through the Spirit/Breath of Truth.
(7) And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
The “open door” is His opened mouth speaking His testimony in the Spirit of Truth and the church found in brotherly love will use “little strength”…that is, few words …in response to that “open door” .
They will be quick to hear and slow to speak. They will not deny His name/authority over them as they will keep His saying to have love for another.
(8) I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
(9) Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Yet, those who “dwell on the earth” ….that is, dwelling on the earthly “wisdom” of envy, strife, wrath, etc….will be tempted to speak evil against what they hear in their unbelief of it.
The temptation shall come upon all of the world to try those that dwell on the things of the earth…their envy, strife, wrath, unbelief, hatred, etc. It will surprise those who are not focusing on those things which are above: peace, love, joy, kindness, gentleness, patience, etc. Their knee-jerk reaction will be to speak evil but they must OVERCOME this in order to be able to enter in torejoice and enter in to His understanding and into His eternal life.
(10) Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
He comes quickly. The eternal life of Jesus comes without delay as His life shall manifest in our outer mortal flesh. Let no man take away the crown of life by his persecution of your belief in this. They will persecute us but we must endure without rendering evil for evil. We must keep His “daily” sacrifice (the Lamb slain) even in the face of their fiery flaming of false accusations of us.
(11) Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
We must endure always when faced with the affliction or persecution that will arise for the receiving of His word…His testimony. Let us not be “tripped up” by their persecution of us and fall away to the grave but patiently endure unto the manifestation of His eternal life in our mortal flesh of which no man can then take away our joy.
Mark 4:16-17 KJV
(16) And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
(17) And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
The unbelievers of the churches will mock and say “where is the promise of His coming?” Where is the promised eternal life of Jesus now in this earth as the church fathers have all died and all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
Everyone continues to perish without the manifestation of the eternal life of Jesus in their mortal flesh in their “understanding”. But they continue to perish still under the wrath of God as they speak because they have no knowledge. His people perish because of a lack of knowledge as their “rulers” have no understanding. The true gospel of the Christ is being suppressed.
2 Peter 3:3-7 KJV
(3) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
(4) And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
(5) For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
(6) Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
The heavens and the earth which are NOW are stored with fire NOW against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. His wrath is being revealed NOW in the destruction of our mortal bodies from this earth. This is a NOW thing.
(7) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Salvation is NOW and so is the wrath of God.
The wrath of God is revealed NOW from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in their unrighteousness. They have no understanding of the good news of Christ as they continue to follow their lusts as they handle the Word of God deceitfully for their own gain and so are still perishing.
The Just One (the eternal life of Jesus…the Prince of Life) shall live by our faith in Him. Faith is active….faith is doing His will. Our internal faith in Him shall reveal His eternal life outwardly in our mortal body. But this is being suppressed as they have no understanding of the good news of the Christ.
Romans 1:16-18 KJV
(16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
(17) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
(18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
They who are ashamed of the good news of THE Christ when they hear it will persecute us with the fire of their words against us for receiving and believing His testimony which will not conform to what the “religious” world of the churches of men have been preaching. We are to keep the commandments of God and the faith of THE Jesus and not the “another jesus” that they are preaching and which saves no one.
Revelation 14:12-13 KJV
(12) Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
We must die to the sin that will want to come out of our mouths when they will persecute us. We must keep His “daily” sacrifice....the Lamb slain... and continue to “die in the Lord”.
(13) And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
