I'm currently reading The Lord of the Rings for the first time. I adore the movies and so far the book is quite different.
I love the books. Love the movies as well. Both are different at instances yes... but great story nevertheless
I have been reading The Lord of the Rings for at least a couple of years now - I forget when I started it and only read a short excerpt at a time as it is so detailed and I can only take in a certain amount at a time. About 20 years ago the family went to see the film, but our youngest didn't go and I didn't go. He wasn't interested and I didn't fancy watching something with so much detail. Instead we went to see Monsters inc. Great film.I'm currently reading The Lord of the Rings for the first time. I adore the movies and so far the book is quite different.
The Life of St. Francis of Assisi (St. Bonaventure)
It's kind of difficult because the prose and language are so archaic in structure and terminology.
My family apart from the youngest and myself went to see the movie several years ago. Too much detail moving too fast for me. Youngest and I went to see Monsters Inc. instead. I've been reading the book very slowly - a few lines at a time - and quite enjoying it. I look going at my own pace.Yeah I'm liking the book more than the movie so far.
