So no "golfing instead of leading" criticism for Biden, but plenty for Trump? Whataboutism isn't a great argument.

There is nothing wrong with comparing Biden to Trump. In fact, comparing a current president to his predecessor (or to previous presidents) has been done throughout the history of our country.

This is the weakest argument ever. The only reason the amount of golf Trump played comes up is because Trump, along with many in right-wing media, reviled President Obama for golfing during his two terms. When Trump became president, he golfed far more than Obama; back in May 2020, a comparison of the two showed that, up to that point in both their presidencies, Obama had golfed 98 times compared to Trump's 248 times. The amount of golf doesn't really matter, except for the whole issue of Trump making it an issue. It's hypocrisy in its purest form.

I look at threads like these as a tongue-in-cheek commentary of presidents golfing being synonymous with their level of work commitment. You may argue that playing or not playing golf means nothing... except for the whole predecessor of the current president claiming it does mean something.

Not only that, but...

"I would rarely leave the White House because there's so much work to be done," Trump said to the Hill in June 2015, the month he launched his presidential campaign. "I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off."

I was asking for data to compare the two.

The data was provided.

I think that a president shouldn't go golfing more than once per month, except if he does so with some foreign dignitary as a form of diplomatic meeting.

Conversely, I wouldn't expect a president to spend every waking minute presidentin, because presidents are still human beings and need time to decompress and relax.

It's not about comparisons...it's about those comparisons being fair.

Why is the comparison unfair? Are you suggesting that the person that made a big deal about presidential golfing should not get ribbed when they are shown to not practice what they preach?

I'm circling back now; complaining about a President playing a sport is fine, especially if the complaint is to point of the lack of attention to a President's primary function of leading the Executive Branch; but if such a criticism is deemed necessary enough to vocalize opposition, one should ensure they are doing so in a fair and just manner.

In Biden's case, he can go golfing, but won't carry himself down to the border to see the crisis unfolding there. The media criticizing "kids in cages" for the past 4 years, while right now these facilities are packed with children still is a real issue. I'm just tired of the media bias to the point of fitting the definition of real and literal propaganda.

Why don't you stay on the topic instead of trying to change the subject about "kids in cages"? The topic is about the playing of golf by the current president and the hilarious claim by his predecessor that he would not play golf while criticizing his own predecessor for playing golf. No one made the playing of golf an issue, the previous president and his media allies did that. Talking about the southern border of the US has nothing to do with this topic.

I'm just thinking of an example of something that would Constitutionally require the President's attention, but instead is being ignored. That's all.

I simply find your response here odd. This topic had nothing to with the southern border, there are plenty of threads on that topic already on this forum. In your first post on this thread, you didn't seem to have a problem with staying on the topic because you wanted to lambaste it as whataboutism. When that argument was thoroughly disproven (i.e., the person who complained the most about "golfing instead of leading" was in fact President Biden's predecessor), you changed gears to talking about the southern border.

Are you under the impression that Trump's dog and pony show at the border resulted in any meaningful action?

All I know is that criminal alien numbers right now are staggeringly high by comparison and Biden has expressed no concern:

Criminal Alien Statistics Fiscal Year 2021

We were trending WAY down year by year until Biden took office...then BOOM

The golfing debate is over. It has been won.

What about basketball in the White House gym? I bet that Trump shot more beautiful baskets than his predecessor. And, oh the locker-room talk!

Not only that, but...

Yea, but conveniently this will be one of those times when Trump was just joking or something, and we weren't supposed to take the straight shooter at his word, I'm sure.
