He explains the bread He shall give is His flesh that He shall give for the life of the world
because He gives of Himself to give us life because He died
I believe it means understanding completely why He came for one and to become united with Him fully by letting Him completely change you and to make you offer yourself also fully to God which you are able to because of His sacrifice
as Jesus is the word made flesh and when we eat His words we are able to commune fully with who He is and what He did
for unless we come to know Him through His word who is the word made flesh we can not come to know the one who died for us and by eat His body and drink His blood it means to know why He came to meditate on Him to know how it is necessary for Him to die and to be sanctified as we come to know more how His body was given for us as a sacrifice as we commune with Him through His word and pray we come to know His flesh and blood sanctifies us and and if we know how much He loves us the more we have relationship with Him and are able to meditate on that seek to be like Him in our life and He wants us to do that to have life meditating and reading His words to have understanding and knowing Him better to be able to form a relationship with Him with our knowledge and thereby come to Him to be able to know Him and allow one knowledge of Him to change one is chewing as it allows what we know by being able to meditate on His love for us personally to allow us to help form a relationship with Him to make us seek to be like Him and love Him and others and also we only are able to come to partake of His sacrifice if we have knowledge of Him and form relationship with Him
so the word trogo used for chew on His flesh need not mean you need to eat Him in an ordinance though Christ could mean such is necessary to have life now but what happens when you can’t have Eucharist why does God then offer Himself without it to sanctify one
