Pelosi's husband bets up to $1M Tesla will flourish during Biden's administration

Pelosi puts 1,000,000 into Tesla

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband placed a bet of up to $1 million on the future of Tesla Inc. under the Biden administration, which is expected to provide incentives to purchase more environmentally-friendly electric vehicles.

Pelosi, as speaker of the House, likely has insights into Biden’s plans for the industry, which are expected to include tax credits and other incentives to promote the shift away from traditional automobiles.

Spouses of members of Congress are allowed to own shares of companies in industries of which their significant others may help regulate, but under the STOCK Act they are not allowed to act on nonpublic information. The same goes for the Congress members themselves.

Then just yesterday:

Biden plans to replace the US government's fleet of 650,000 vehicles with electric models in a shift to clean energy

President Joe Biden said on Monday his new administration will replace the US government's fleet of around 650,000 vehicles with electric models in a bid to shift to clean energy.

Whilst signing a new "Buy American" executive order, Biden said: "The federal government also owns an enormous fleet of vehicles, which we're going to replace with clean electric vehicles made right here in America made by American workers."

It's unclear when the electric vehicles will rollout and which models they will be. Reuters reported it could cost $20 billion or more to fully replace the fleet.

If (and a very big IF) this is successful, then this is a worthy investment, environment-wise (Genesis 2:15, Leviticus 25:1-7, Revelation 11:16-19). Investment requires certain levels of risk, something I am NOT qualified to give advice on (hence my very big IF). If this investment ends up saving money, resources, and pollution in the long run, then I would definitely say it is a worthy investment. Thinking long-term is key to human progress, especially in a spiritual sense (2 Peter 3:8-9).[1]

It is to her and her husband. The insider info will pay off handsomely.

One should not speak or think poorly of the Speaker of the House. Just saying that to keep you out of trouble in America. Speaking poorly of the Speaker of the House was OK when Ryan was Speaker, or even in the last administration, but there is a new sheriff in town. Watch out. Besides all the corruption has been removed from government by the new sheriff. What you think you see cannot be insider trading. It's just good business.

This cannot be serious. If, as you say, all the corruption has been removed from government why would someone be in danger for criticizing government figures?
Here is something I wonder about how is it elected officials cannot live on their government salaries $174,000 but deny social security recipients a cost of living increase. Mine is a whopping $1105 /month.

I wanted it to be tongue in cheek but maybe it's actually a bit too close to reality.

Yes Pelosi benefited from this top secret information included in Biden's election website.

joebiden.com said:
  • Using the Federal government procurement system – which spends $500 billion every year – to drive towards 100% clean energy and zero-emissions vehicles.

Biden literally said this was his goal before being elected.

Many of the people elected to Congress are already pretty wealthy. This is nothing new.

No, insider trading is nothing new - it however to this day is illegal if you are Republican. Or so it seems

Can you show me where he said he was going to purchase 650,000 vehicles for the Federal Government?

Where will you find a new electric vehicle for 30,000 (20 billion divided by 650k) Maybe joe has foreknowledge on that also.

Those exact words? No. But his campaign website clearly said he was going to use the federal governments purchasing ability to drive towards 100% clean energy zero emission vehicles. That clearly meant changing the fleet out.

A Nissan Leaf is 31k, and the federal government has enough purchasing power to potentially drop even that. And Reuters was estimating $20B or more. They didn't provide the basis of their estimation or exact figures.

ETA: I digged a bit deeper. According to Rueters the US fleet is 645000 cars, of which 3,215 are electric. Subtracting the current number gives a replacement number of 641,785 cars. Dividing 30B by that gives you a per capita price of $46744, which can literally buy you a BMW electric vehicle.

When did congress deny cost of living increases?

LOL! I can see joe riding in a Leaf - it is just about his speed, but I cannot picture Government agents, secret service or others doing so.

Quick! we have to get the President out of here - hold on, I have to charge the battery.

Wonder how they are going to charge all those electric vehicles without fossil fuel generators to supply the electricity.

What we should look at is how many of them became wealthy after they got elected. We could start with Biden.

Why? We know where his money comes from because he has released his tax returns for the years he wasn't in office and financial disclosure forms for the years he was.

And? Tesla will have a lot completion since there are now several companies who are now mass producing alternatives to Tesla vehicles. Just about anyone can see the handwriting on the wall about electric cars taking over the automobile market. It's not as clear which company will benefit the most from that inevitable transition.

Besides, even a million dollars is simply 'chump change' compared to the money that Trump pocketed into his own companies while he played golf at his own very expensive resorts and forced taxpayers to enrich his own companies.
