it. Do you really believe there will be the time that CNBC, CNN, FOX, European, Asian, African TV will broadcast Jesus. As he is there in the now...and dead and living Christians will accompany him to heaven? Thats so hard to belief this vision...
I'm pretty sure when it says every eye will see him that doesn't mean on television or youtube.

Hello dear community,
as you can read in my introduction I am new to jesus. I am proud to belief...but sometimes it is not so easy to be honest. So please be kind and patient with me and my question...

I believe in the story of Jesus. Oh yes I do!! Everthing about it sounds real for me. But the bible says in some parts that Jesus will come back. And that is hard for me to believe. Because he won't come secretly and unnoticed. Everybody will see it. Do you really believe there will be the time that CNBC, CNN, FOX, European, Asian, African TV will broadcast Jesus. As he is there in the now...and dead and living Christians will accompany him to heaven? Thats so hard to belief this vision...

Jesus said:

John 14:2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

Yes, he will return. That actual way things are, the biblical narrative, is epic, far greater than any fiction.

The Lord has been physically coming down to the earth to oversee judgement and fulfill promise and purpose since the beginning of creation. Instances all over the Bible that use the exact same terminology and illustrative language the NT does on the subject. People don’t notice it because they approach the Bible’s prophecy through the eyes of the worlds superstition about apocalyptic endings of the world as we know it. The link here is an article I have that lists a bunch of the timeS the Lord came down to earth. incidentally. There is no such phrase in the Bible “the second coming.” Only the coming of the Lord. Here is the link.

p.s. - when He returns, ALL will know that He has, and that w/o any help whatsoever from the world's broadcast news stations.

Agree! It's hard to picture, but the day is coming.

Jesus rose from the dead, therefore belief in the resurrection of the dead is inescapable. And he said he's coming back. God Bless :)

Yes he will come back, and everyone will see him in the sky, because the earth is not round as they say. So everyone will be able to see him at the same time. It's hard for you to be believe because it is a spiritual thing. The things of God is past our understanding.

Thank you my brother. I know Matthew. It is one reason for my post.

"For as the lightning goes
forth from the east and shines to the west, so shall be the coming of the Son of man".

It is so hart to belief that :-/
Just a thought... If you believe that there is a God who literally created the universe out of nothing, who is responsible for the beauty of the stars, the planets, and everything on earth.... a God who came to earth as a man, Jesus, who performed miracles - raising the dead, healing the sick, and who then conquered death Himself....

If you believe all that, what precisely makes it hard to believe that God might come back? Why would Jesus live and go through all that He did if He wasn't going to come back?

Hi believeme,

Perhaps the problem is in your expectation of what that event is really going to look like in real time as it happens. I would agree that people living on one side of the planet cannot see what is happening on the other side of the planet with just their naked eye. So, the question does become, "how is this possible?"

There is of course digital media which makes it possible for every human on the earth to see what is happening in pretty much every corner of the earth at any given time. I remember watching the first Gulf War as it was broadcast live on television. I mean, as bombs and rockets and machine gun strafer bullets were being fired from parapets and rooftops and bunkers, we could all watch it unfolding in real time right before our eyes even though it was happening several thousand miles away. I'm one who believes that God knows the end from the beginning and, therefore, knew when His word told us that every eye would see, that television would be available to us.

Then there is the option that he (Jesus) stands firm in the clouds as the earth spins below him and we all see him as he becomes apparent to the different longitudinal points on the earth as it spins. Or, that Jesus sweeps all around the earth in mere moments at his return. Kind of like how it was portrayed that Superman turned back time by flying around the earth at super-super sonic speed to literally cause the earth to spin backwards. Not that the earth spinning backwards would actually cause events to cancel out that had already happened. But hopefully you get the point.

So, my encouragement to you is to trust God's word. If God's word says that every eye will see, believe that every eye will see. Knowing how that might happen isn't really one for us to necessarily be able to fathom. Much like we don't really know 'how' God created the earth and the universe in which we live in six days, but because His word says that He did, many of us merely believe based on the trustworthiness of God, and the power of God...that He did.

God bless,
ted
