I cannot link the article because of the language quoted.
Those who lost their health insurance under the ACA lost it because their policies were junk and the companies that they bought from, got out of the health insurance business because they couldn't provide the coverage mandated in the law.
Mine was Blur cross/Blue Shield. Low deductible
The specific plan was no longer available after ObamaCare happened.
My ‘new’ plan was almost 270% higher costs with higher deductibles
What state do you live in ?
My daughter lives in NH, and Anthem Blue Cross & Blueshield and was the only available insurance on their exchange. Of course NH is generally a red state and fought against Obamacare. The lack of competition of course drove their rates up.
I live in MA and I got on Romneycare to start. I had a choice of 7 different companies with various levels according to what I wanted to pay. It saved my life.
That became Obamacare as Romneycare is what Obamacare was based on. I kept the same company as I had on Romenycare and didn't notice any difference.
I then went on Medicare and kept the same insurance company. Only it's more expensive on Medicare than it was on Obamacare, go figure ?
I wanted to keep my plan. It was affordable and worked for my family.
I could not keep it because ObamaCare didn’t like it. The alternatives were twice the price and less coverage at higher deductibles
PolitiFact - Barack Obama says that what he'd said was you could keep your plan 'if it hasn’t changed since the law passed'
now his former VP, Joe Biden is making similar promises. Sorry, I don’t believe him and for good reasons
I wonder, did you or a loved one ever have a serious health issue that the insurance company had to pay ?
Before Obamacare, depending on where you lived, the insurance company could just drop your coverage and you'd have to go into an expensive high-risk pool
